Clean Up holiday in Metro

I am still here in the office 630pm, typing and waiting that somehow the drafting of the executive order for a massive clean-up in Metro Manila will be announced not later tonight.

It has been in the news that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo already ordered the drafting of the massive clean-up day and it will be declared a special non-working day within this week.

The massive clean-up is caused by none other than typhoon Ondoy last weekend which left 246 death tolls, 37 people remain missing, 374,890 people sheltered in 607 makeshift evacuation camps and P2.33 billion cost of damages to property and crops.

Though Malacañang asks metro mayors to exercise their power to "declare a holiday for a massive sanitation and clean-up day" if it deem fit. I wonder if Makati will declare a holiday..

I am giving away..

SPAM!

Not that spam we had this morning but SPAM emails from my gmail account.

After a week of posting my paypal address I am being drowned not only of donations for our $3 for Daniel project but also of bogus emails.

Here are some examples of spam mails:Sometimes I pray these spam mails were true.. Coz if they are I could be able to send Daniel to Taiwan in next to no time!

PS:
Now who would like some spam?

Heavily flooded Manila

We were set to go to manila Saturday morning. We were supposed to spend the day with kat and my close buddies daryl and arlyn. Kat and her brother, who came from davao, will spend 2 weeks on the apartment yobib and I reside while I was pregnant with yena. But due to Ondoy’s showery visit we stayed home the whole day and watched movies.

I have been whining on our soaking wet kitchen and our wall that has been moist for the very first time because of the nonstop rain brought by typhoon Ondoy. But my complaints turn to shame when I saw the news and the view of the heavily-flooded metro manila. Cars were scattered like toys, people were at the top of their houses asking for help. And would you still whine on your current situation in life while looking at this photo below?
I cannot contact pehpot until now, I have heard in the news that the whole pasig is in flood. My boss and ms beng are not able to report to work today because of the flood. It is disheartening to see such calamity that struck the nation as quick as that, but it’s comforting to know that there are people who are willing to lend a helping hand. My office mate told me, ABS CBN even collected a total donation of Php20M in just day of their telethon. God bless them..

It is high time to help, in our own way a prayer will do. Let us pray for the victims of typhoon Ondoy..

Do not invest in emotions

That was what my blogging friend Pehpot told me the moment i confide to her on how much i felt hurt about a close friend's recent snubbing incident. I invest in too much emotions. I am close to the bone, an emotional person.

That's why you cry easily, she told me. And she is right, I am a cry baby. I pull too much air in my stomach just by writing this, i can feel the lump in my throat and my eyes are getting heavier. My tears are falling already, but that's just me. Am crying for no reason at all. Might be i was hurt, but believe me when i say, i am still happy..

Clarissa, Daniel's mom and my highschool friend from The Sisters of Mary School, called me twice about "some doubt" on Daniel's case. She said she is on her way to that foundation, sooner than soon Daniel will be with the other babies with the same case like his at www.liftbabies.org. She told me i have to hear it from her first, Daniel's case is of course not a scam and her supposed letter was made by a friend who is helping her on Daniel's campaign. That friend is the mother of Rainier, a boy who recovered from billiary atresia in 2005.

I have read a blogger's reservation about Daniel's case, she got three letters of different moms, babies and dates using the same back bone of the letter asking for help. I feel bad for the doubt. There are more or less $400 donations at my paypal account from the day i posted the $3 for Daniel campaign, even before i posted clarissa's letter and even before i posted daniel's pictures. The donors felt no hesitation, they donated without asking, symphatize with daniel's family and embrace the campaign by posting the project on their blog. No doubt, just pure love!

Sometimes you just have to trust, it won't hurt.

PS:
Today there's a total of $618.60 donations from those donors who trust enough. May God continue to bless you all!

IN MY LIFE

Failed to make me cry! :) heheh (Ms Beng happen to share to me what happened to the three leads in the movie, so i already got hints while watching. And i am so anxious, the two bloggers might blog about how much i cry over the movie, glad i didn't cry! ihhhh )

Ms Beng, Pehpot, KittyKat and I were in Tokyo yesterday! Sadly Fedhz didn't make it and Kaye is in Baguio. It’s supposed to be a lunch date at Max’s but after planning and conferencing while walking under the heat of the sun we decided to head to Tokyo Tokyo instead. I finally met Kittykat who looks very angelic and nice in person. And by the way, that lunch/gossiping about blog etc etc took us 2pm to return to work!

Pehpot and Kittykat has been bugging me to watch the movie instead of returning to work and since I can’t say no to their nonstop appeal that left me no choice and went out of the office with them and head to walter mart to watch In my Life. (it was our first time to watch at walter mart and it sucks, the place smells like stinking feet, sigh)

The movie is quiet good. And I agree John Loyd outshine Ate Vi on their confrontation scenes. Morals of the story are minimize the use of phone especially in public it might lead to your sudden death, for gays do not marry Pamela for convenience sake instead marry your lovers mom and for moms listen to your children’s desires and listen very carefully.. ;)

PS:
I was only disappointed at that much talk about kissing scene of John Loyd and Luis.. hahah. LOL

Chic Trade Show Essentials

Many trade show exhibits nowadays focus on chic designs and well-designed themes to be a magnet for the viewing public. There is seldom a mall or a public place without exhibits. People from all walks of life would try to peek at those little wonders a trade show booth can do.

While there are lots of table covers to choose from a wide variety of shades and styles, others prefer the classic one that matches its establishment’s trademark. It cannot be denied that today’s the day of fashion trends on every business. It is now a craze to be always glamorous and that includes having table top display on its very unique design or having the company’s own logo to boost distinctiveness.

Entertainment industry is one good example of setting that taste in aiming to be distinct. There is no movie production without directors chairs, that very reminder of every great film ever shown. Now trade shows use that chair for an added touch of sophistication on every trade show exhibits. Not only it is of good quality because of hard wood used but also it can add spice to mark appeal to the audience by putting company’s logo that can be silk screened onto them.

So don't be surprised to see more elegant booths and trade show exhibits in the future, it is the era of great illustration that brings wonders to our daily lives!

See you tom!

I will be meeting my kumareng pehpot for the nth time tomorrow. That is for our monthly transfer of funds from her paypal to my paypal and finally to my ATM account. Yes, that is the easiest money transfer I can share for those who do not have bank account on their paypal yet or for those who have paypal accounts but are not yet verified.

But you have to know I charge for a fee***, pehpot treat me my fave burger steak lunch at Jollibee on the first time of our meet up. But the next meet ups will be a dutch treat! Just like what will happen tomorrow! Five ladies will spend an hour eating sumptuous meal at Max’s, my favorite!

My dear kittykat from davao is here in manila since yesterday, so it’s a quick EB of sort. My officemate blogger Ms Beng is easy to be tag along so am grabbing her too. Plus Pehpot is tagging along Fedhz, who is on the process of asking permission from her husband Mike.

Am not excited, am i?! If you know me personally while reading this, you will get a hint that I am not that excited! LOL

PS:
***of course there is no fee, am just kidding ok! :)

Who is Daniel?

George Daniel Arevalo Samson, is a 5 months old son of my high school friend Clarissa who has biliary atresia with cirrhosis and is in immediate need of liver transplant. Since liver transplant is not yet done locally Daniel is scheduled to have the operation at Chan Gung Hospital in Taiwan on November 24 which will cost P3 Million pesos ($60,000).

If little Daniel will not be able to have a liver transplant soon, he will die.
All donations to Daniel can be send through his mom's bank account: Bank of the Philippine Islands under the account name Ma. Clarisa A. Samson, S.A. No. 3536 0445 53. Her letter, contact details and email address are at the post below.

Or you can simply send your donation at my paypal address: leonytimbas(at)gmail(dot)com. Let us help Daniel on his fight, your 3$ can make a BIG difference on Daniel's life.

May God continue to bless you more!

Letter of Daniel's Mom

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

My name is Ma. Clarisa Arevalo Samson. I am a mother of two, named Gwyneth Ann and George Daniel. For the meantime, we are living in my parent’s house located at Blk 8 Lot 43,Barangay San Rafael 1, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan,Philippines.

I wrote to you this letter to ask for financial help for our baby George Daniel. My son Daniel was born with a life threatening disease called “Biliary Atresia”. It is a congenital condition characterize by the absence or closure of the bile ducts that drain bile from the liver. Biliary Atresia is a progressive inflammatory process that begins very soon after birth. In Daniel’s case, he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia when he was already 2 months old. During that time, there was already a significant amount of damage to his liver. White blood cells invaded the ducts, which became damaged or closed completely. Bile was trapped inside the liver and rapidly caused liver cirrhosis.

An operation called “Kasai Method” was done on Daniel by Surgeons Dra. Minas, Dr. Baluga and Dr. Miguel at the UST Hospital last June 10, 2009. It is an operation that removes the damaged biliary ducts outside the liver. Then, the small intestine is directly attached to the liver at the spot where bile is found or expected to drain. This procedure is not a cure but rather a temporary solution to be able to give Daniel some more time to find the necessary funding for his operation and the matching liver type. Unfortunately, although the operation was done, his liver continued to fail. Our doctors told us that there is no other course but to have a liver transplant.

Unfortunately, liver transplant is not yet available locally but it can be done in Taiwan for P3 million pesos. This amount is simply beyond the means of our family. If my son will not be able to have a liver transplant soon, he will die. All we want is to see our son live that’s why we are appealing to your charity and compassion.

Donations can be deposited to:
Bank of the Philippine Islands branch under the account name Ma. Clarisa A. Samson, S.A. No. 3536 0445 53. Every peso counts. I beg you, please help us.

Thank you for your time in reading my letter and we are hoping for your kind help.

God Bless
Ma. Clarisa Samson

Dollar Donations for Daniel

I didn't knew it until i checked on every donor's details this morning that every donation from paypal using the donate button has deductions. So for the total $279 donations, the net donations at my paypal amounts to $262.79 only. But $262.79 is a great sum already considering it is only DAY 2 of $3 for Daniel Project. And to all the donors, i will be visiting your site and will send you email as soon as my schedule permits me. Thank you very much to all of you!

I hope paypal understands that we need every little cents so i am posting my paypal address leonytimbas(at)gmail(dot)com and request every donors to please click the Send Money, then click Personal Payment and choose OTHERS... Sample is this screen shot below..
I learned that there is no charges for personal payment so your whole donation intended for Daniel will be intact. Every cents count. And every cent is greatly appreciated.

Again thank you very much for all your support!

Blog Power for Daniel

If God isn't working miraculously every single day, what can you call the $279 total donation in my paypal account in less than 48 hours from the time i posted my $3 for Daniel Project. God is really Good! Thank you for all the generous donors, i will have to make a separate post for all of you! God bless you all!

Telling Clarissa, Daniel's mom, at ym that everything will be alright and God is already making great ways to help us handle this difficulty isn't easy. I can always feel the lump in my throat, i am not suppose to cry but i always did. It's hard to tell the person to be strong when i am so weak.

I always tell her to pray, prayer can move mountains and it always does. And if prayer power isn't enough and God said to exert an effort, now am asking help through BLOGGER POWER.

One post to help me spread about this $3 for Daniel's Project for every blogger will be a great help. I told Clarissa, maybe some doctor billionaire might bump into one post about Daniel and would shoulder the operation costs, it isn't impossible! Nothing is impossible with God! Ayt?

Now i am thanking the following bloggers for their post of support! Blogger Power! Go! Go! Go!

Thank you very much!

3$ for Daniel

My dress the choir project was a great success, the credit I owe to the wonderful people who donated and made the choir very happy. Now I am closing my dress the choir project and make way for a MUCH worthy cause.

George Daniel Arevalo Samson, 5 months old son of my high school friend Clarissa has biliary atresia with cirrhosis and is in immediate need of liver transplant. The operation has never been done in the Philippines and the doctor’s advice is to go to Taiwan for the cheapest operation of which will cost roughly 3 Million Pesos ($60,000).

Now, no matter how much I feel ashamed for asking help again, there is a must in my heart that says I have to do it for the sake of the child and their family. I am now on my knees, with tears in my eyes knocking on each of your hearts for $3 to help save Daniel’s life...

I know God moves in mysterious ways and I have faith that the Lord will grant us our fervent wish if we ask in group. I am asking for prayer power and blog power, if you have a blog please spread about this $3 for Daniel Project.

Or you might want to send your donation right away at my paypal address: leonytimbas(at)gmail(dot)com, surely your $3 will bring little Daniel to TAIWAN the soonest possible time!

Thank you very much! God bless your heart!

DO NOT WATCH KIMMY DORA

... ALONE!

If you are planning to watch this movie please have somebody with you. Pay your brother to accompany you, ask strangers to sit beside you and have a few words with them before the movie starts. You have to laugh with somebody you 'know' while watching this! Ok, it’s just a friendly advice from me, but if you are brave enough to laugh alone and look like a fool, go on!

Ok, that’s exaggeration but seriously please watch the movie in group, the laughter inside the movie house seems lacking if you laugh alone in hiding. It’s nicer to laugh when you know you laugh in harmony with the group!

Alright, I am just saying this because I can’t watch a movie alone. I have never watched any movie alone and I will not watch any movie alone. And I have been asking only sister to treat me another movie date soon. I am eyeing In My Life or Yaya and Angelina ;)
Yes, my only sister treat us for a movie date yesterday! My sister and I, our husbands and husband’s youngest brother as our chaperon, we laugh our heart out and brought the house down! Yebah :D

PS:
Please postpone watching this movie if you are pregnant! LOL. But if you’re due November like my mareng pehpot, watch it asap mare! The laughter inside the movie house would give my inaanak sati some wonderful music to her ears!

No TV since March

and am slightly loving it! :)

Not that i don't like a TV but husband wants not just any TV. He said that if we have to buy any appliances at home it should be for a lifetime use. He has been saving for that LCD TV since summer, so hopefully by christmas time we have that stuff at home already. If only i can max out my credit card at SM Appliance i will buy him all that he had been wishing all in a day, but that would be a sin. weeeh

Good thing is that we live near my parents and sister so when i need some time to peek on what's new on the local television shows i can just sneak a quick look. Husband watches his basketball game at my MIL's, less than 5 minutes away from home.

So weekends mean jogging at dawn, watching DVD on my laptop nancy, doing household chores, choir practice at night, playing with husband and daughter and sleeping all day long. No TV to count on to for entertainment news..

and I am not stressed in blogging :)

Life of a Blogging Addict

I maintain 5 blogs. Someone asks me how I do that. I have my day job and I don’t have internet connection at home (there is no internet service provider that cater my internet needs in our area at the moment).

I wanted my blogs to talk about different things, I guess I want my diverse me talking. My blogs are just my outlet. I am not yet a wonder woman to make an entry everyday to each of my 5 blogs so I made a schedule. My posts depend on how much my mind works in an hour (composing things while having lunch). If I am not stressed at work I can have scheduled posts in the side but if I am stress you won’t find anything new in my blogs.

So I should have a post on MWF (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) at my daughter’s blog, Yena’s World and TTH (Tuesday and Thursday) at my marriage blog, Lovers Mushroom. I made a random post here at my blog, when I have something in mind, and if I have extra time (which is hardly ever) I can make a scheduled post. But I intend to make a post here every day (Monday to Friday) so I always find myself squeezing my mind, it looks empty now. ;)

How about my two new blogs? That lies the problem.. Whew. But please do visit, i have something new to share at Online Trends plus i have a new revelation at Girls Rule. But sometimes I am running out of things to say, forgive me tao lang po. Having 5 blogs really is hard. But why am I torturing myself with this? Because I love blogging. Writing is my stress reliever, blogging is my way of rampaging the internet and I love the friendship I made here. And the thought that I found joy of having $ome cents$ from blogging that supports my monthly project, I feel I can do a lot of things to which I feel really victorious already.

PS.
And yeah, this is a scheduled post. hahah. ;)

09.09.09 Is it Lucky Day today?

The guest numerologist in Unang Hirit this morning says that number 9 is very lucky number by itself. Today, September 9, 2009 isn't 09.09.09, to read the numbers right it should be 09.09.11 (2009 is 2+9=11) Even if it isn't 09.09.09 per se, today is really lucky for making BIG decisions. Now is the high time to say yes to your ardent suitor, now is the best time to get married, now is the right time for the opening of your business and children born today are also said to be full of luck!

Noynoy Aquino announced her decision to run at 8 o'clock this morning. Why today? Because he said why wait for another day when he and the whole family had prayed already and asked for guidance on what path he should take. He is doing this for the people. Might be the OBAMA i have been praying for coz everytime i hear him say a thing i am shaking in disbelief, is this really happening?

First and foremost, i want a leader who is not corrupt, i want a leader who is god-fearing. Now ERAP who is also running for presidency next year has his biggest challenger. Please if you love our country, do not vote for another years of corruption, plunder, poverty and dishonesty in ERAP. I am hoping for the best for my daughter for next coming years.

Let my voice be heard coz today might really be a lucky day really for Noynoy. He has my vote and my vote counts! Today is my lucky day too, not only because i have my high hopes back in this country but also because today the first man in my life is celebrating his 70th birthday!

Is it me talking politics? I have to stop, hindi bagay noh? Weeeeh I will be going home early today to celebrate this day with my most loved man on earth. Happy Birthday to my father! Love him to pieces! ;)

Non Working Holiday on Sep 21, 2009

Another holiday :) I love! weeeh

President Arroyo declared Sept. 21 a non-working holiday being Eid’l Fitr, or the end of Ramadan, as provided by law.

The Palace official said Eid’l Fitr is listed as one of the holidays stated in Presidential Proclamation 1869.

Very Early Bird

I woke up husband at 430am and our travel time starts at 5am. Surprisingly, there is NO TRAFFIC at south luzon expressway, south expressway and skyway today! whooot. I arrived at work at 625am today. Office hours start at 8am! Imagine?!

It was hard when your work is at the farthest end from your home. Thought balloon while typing this is work at home or my ultimate wish of being a SAHM or WAHM. :)

I have two months of unpleasant tardiness from our human resources, and i don't want another month of punctuality trouble :). If only SKYWAY Project up to alabang will be over and done as soon as possible. I can't wait 2011!

Now, the early bird is sleepy and not feeling well. PMS is letting me down. :(

Double Chin

Yes, i have a 19 and half months old toddler who has fat legs, big tummy and double chin. Our daughter loves to eat rice and soup. Her favorite is her daddy's sinigang. Husband always cooks on weekends so weekend means feast of rice and anything with soup.
Double chin who? ;)

She can play all day. She loves to read her books which i bought on book sale :) Oh, i love book sale, i bought a lot of books for less than $10! Such a treat, the look at my daughter's face when she saw those books are priceless!

OK, back to the double chin. Yena loves to eat. She consumes 4 bottles a day plus soup with rice and lots of jelly ace, Moo chocolait and yakult! :) She would knock the refrigerator or pull my shorts down for another jeee ace (jelly ace!)

Enough bragging mommy niko! :) Forgive the proud mom, please. Don't you just love speaking about your child? Cause i do, all the time! :D

Jump for Pehpot!

If not because of my love for Pehpot, i would not do this crazy jump and post it here. I will not place my own scandal on my own blog but what can i do, this picture is the closest to perfect shot from all the tiring jumps i made last weekend! Phew.

I love you this much girl, so am forgetting about poise and my dignity. Click the picture to enlarge and peek on my CS stitches! Laugh while you can! LOL

Just so you know that the photo above is me, here's my pose after the tiring jumps! :) I already convinced husband to jump for pehpot (imagine a heavy man jumping!!) so now it's your turn! Why don't you jump for pehpot too?
