Let the red roses do the trick!

I say, surprise you loved ones with fresh roses, and let the flowers do the talking! ;)

I sent my ex-boyfriend 3 white roses back on our ‘mushy’ days. The thought was a bombshell, he was shoooocked. He said it was his first time to received flowers from someone..

I made another bombshell the morning of the 26th, our 2nd year wedding anniversary. Out of the blue, I wanted to surprise him. This time I wanted it something big. Yes, like an explosion. So upon arriving at work I started planning and get depressed the moment I learned that flower express do not offer same day delivery. So came to the rescue was philippineflowersandgifts.com. I think they have to pay me for a free advertising, LOL. But seriously, they are the best so far.

Before placing my order, I called their customer service number and a very helpful Mr Nicolas answered. I would like to confirm if they really do same day delivery, I don’t want husband to receive the flowers later than late. So it was good that they do, I placed my order online and was dismayed that I placed all my informations at the SHIPPING information instead of BILLING information. I called Mr Nicolas right away, to share that stupid incident and he told me not to worry. ;) I specify that I wanted the roses to arrive at husband’s office after lunch.. And husband got the roses at 1pm! ;)

So, the surprised and very happy husband texted me, thanked me, and asked me how much does it costs? (that’s the very thrifty him talking again! LOL) I told him he costs more than the flowers do!

Note to readers: we don’t usually spend on roses as it’s quite expensive. Husband is very serious in our spending ways. What's more important should be on the top list. And flowers belong to the farthest end of our priorities but there is always exemption to the rule right? But now, i guess i have to think of another mind-boggling and very frugal way of surprising husband next year. Wish me luck! :)

The Efficiency of Jacob Replica Watches

Jacob replica watches are those wonderful watches that are designed to look like the original Jacob brands which have America as their birth place. Initially, original Jacob watches were the handiwork of the famous America watch designer and scientist known as Jacob Arabo. This man is known today as one of the few American scientist that invented quality watches that are shaking the entire world of watches. Arabo established the famous Jacob and Co Company where quality Jacob watches are produced. The Jacob watches come in various solid and costly mode that many people could not afford them. In response to this the Jacob replica watches were invented.

The main thing that makes Jacob replica watches very unique is the fact that most of them have the features seen in the original Jacob brands. The Jacob Replica watches come in various wonderful models just like the originals.

A Letter to Someone who's Gone

Dear Papa,

Please don’t tell your son but sometimes I dread going home to see Mamato alone. I’m so used to seeing you and Mamato together. I still wish I can see you waiting for us at the front door or sitting at the veranda. Your face will be all aglow upon seeing Yena.. I would touch your hand and you would smile back. How I miss seeing your smile, hearing your voice and touching your hands.

I still wish we could talk about our recent getaway; I know you would smile on all our stories, especially when husband would goof around about riding an airplane and all. I miss Sundays, especially at the church and the nonstop videoke sessions in the afternoon. You always have the longest list of the songs you like to sing over and over again. I miss hearing your singing especially Martin Nievera’s song. Promise of Love has a lot of version; it was always sung by you, your sons and nephews (in particular order). Oh how I miss hearing your high tone and those times you would stop awhile and would still go on.

I might have cried buckets the day you left us, but I know you are in a much better place now. And I shall find comfort knowing that wherever you are right now, I know there is no more pain only happiness.

We love you papa and we miss you so much.

Your daughter in law,
Niko

Gold digger!

Giggle. I had to laugh with that title for a post but seriously what would you do if you get hold of bullion of gold or gold coins?

With a lot of projects in my mind as the Christmas season is fast approaching, I definitely know where my gold bullion would go! I am currently cooking my Christmas project but this is not something to blog about, as what my blogging friend say it might lose its merit. I am planning of sending some emails to some blogging friends who always support me with my projects, but am quiet shy. I have been bugging them already with my projects so I hope my blogging money or gold coin can make up for it. So to send them email or not is another dilemma I am going through. Laugh.

Anyways, Daniel’s operation is coming in a swift; I still wonder if his mom gets some help from all the foundations they are talking to. I worried so much for the baby that sometimes I lose sleep. I know prayer power can do miracles. I just hope and pray for some rain of gold. If there is such I would certainly get hold of my umbrella to catch all them. I know for sure, that is such a relief for Daniel and his family!

Sometimes I wish I can get hold of that gold bars I only see on TV. I could make a lot of ‘noble’ projects just by having them.. But I know I have to be content with my blogging gold coins as it has been such a blessing already. But still if you know any gold mining please do share, I am most willing to try my luck!

Day 3 at Coron

For the two readers who are following my Coron stories, here's the tear-jerking final piece! I know you have been wanting me to post my coron experience daily but i have been scheduling my posts and i am taking blogging slowly. So i am updating my blog every two days, forgive me please. I cannot handle another pressure on my blog. :)

So this was our last breakfast at Krystal Lodge. After filling up our stomach at past 7, we all hurried to pack all our things. Our bangkero will fetch us at 8am sharp and will send us to airport. Travel time from Coron to Busuanga takes more than an hour. Our flight back to manila was scheduled at 1040am.
So upon arriving at the airport before 10am, we started taking pictures one last time. That's my daughter posing.. We were all getting ready to bid goodbye to the magnificent place that welcomed us (without a choice!) for three wonderful days..
Anyways, our energy level was so high it can reach the moon until we learned that our flight back to manila was rescheduled at 355pm. We have all praises to Zest Air until that very moment. We could have roamed the town proper or just stayed at our lodge longer if we have known that our flight was rescheduled!

What's left for us to do was to watch two movies while killing the time, bringing my laptop nancy has its purpose actually! And since we will be taking lunch in between and without any choice left we ate at the nearby canteen near the airport. OMG, i can almost hear myself talking to my soul crying out loud: why on earth everything is expensive in Coron?! One cup of rice is worth Php20.00!
After lunch, while some of the girls are watching movie and my husband and daughter were quite contented playing 'horsie' I busied myself capturing Coron airport on the remaining hours of our stay. It wasn't easy to wait almost six long hours at the airport.. That was unbearable.. oh am just exaggerating!! :)
But i have to congratulate myself for not engaging into a stand-up fight between the Zest Air people. It's just a matter of control actually, and it's hard! Maybe i'd like to ask them for a refund of our very expensive lunch or another trip back to Coron to compensate the six hours BUT i kept my cool and am glad i did! :)
So finally we're back in Manila and all aglow! Our Coron getaway is only the start of our travel stories! We will be going to Camarines Sur or Camiguin next year! (Calling Katrina, plan quickly please)

How about you? Join us! The more the merrier.. Taralets! Let's travel Pinas! Now na.. :)

Day 2 at Coron

After trekking Mt Tapias’ 724 steps and dipping into Mt Maquinit’s 40 degrees Celsius hot spring we braced ourselves for the island hopping for our Day 2 at Coron.

So this was us getting ready to feast our eyes for what’s in store for the day.. (Please click the pictures to enlarge, you won't regret seeing the background view or US! LOL)
Our first stop was at the Atwayan Beach, where we had almost half of our 1000+ pictures. Forgetting that it was only first stop of the 7 wonderful place we were about to see. We practiced our snorkeling at this white sand beach while yena was busy running after all the fishes she sees..
After our lunch of big crabs and grilled fish at Atwayan beach off we went to the famous World War II Ship Wreck for our most awaited snorkeling moment.. Oh boy, we feast our eyes to all the wonders of the sea, fishes of different colors, sizes and shapes, corals of wonderful beauty and whole lot more!
We also went to 91 Beach but had no picture since we were all busy with swimming and playing at that another white sand beach.. Our next stop was at Twin Lagoons. We wished we had underwater camera here.. As we have to pass a little cave to get to the other lagoon. We only had this picture instead..
I saw the almost perfect rock formation under the water of Kayangan Lake. It has the most expensive entrance fee of P200 each but the price was worth it coz you have a lot of chance to capture all the photos you can only see on magazine. The place was really oozing with perfect beauty. But you have to trek another 200 steps up.. :) No pain, no gain.
We had our last snorkeling at Siete Pecados as our last stop for our island hopping. There are a lot of bigger fishes in there, feeding them and swimming with them is something I would love to do over and over again. The photo below was with our bangkero/tour guide Kuya Anthony. IF you are planning of going to coron, please contact him. He is the best bangkero ever! Hahah. Seriously, he is nice. This is his number 0909 6147578 :)
I wish I can go back to coron anytime I want to. The place is really IT! Heavenly, magical, and everything of beauty that I can only have in my dreams.. I will definitely go back! Will you come with me?! Taralets go! :)

Day 1 at Coron

Ola! I don’t know what to say and I don’t know where to start. Our Palawan getaway has more than one thousand pictures in my laptop nancy! Memories captured by 3 cameras of ten people having the great time at that heavenly place called Coron. I have to unleash all the stories, as ghie’s sister Katrina has been calling me like twice today just to start BLOGGING about it!

So before I receive another call from her, I have to share what happened to that day we literally pulled to make happen :) Please promise to not fall to sleep while browsing, there will be a whole lot of pictures.. so braze yourselves :)

At the check in counter at Domestic Airport.. (Look at our eyes, aren't we fiery excited? LOL)
Flying in an airplane for the very first time for me and my 21 months old toddler Yena.
Kissing the ground of Busuanga Airport at 1040AM :)
Oh here's our sundo/bangkero, I highly recommend our bangkero Kuya Anthony for those who would like to stay at Coron. He is nice and very accomodating even to us who are deep to the bone thrifty :)
It is almost an hour drive from Busuanga Airport to Coron. We stopped by at one picturesque view ala new zealand with these countless cows for a postcard background :)
Krystal Lodge was our home for three days and two nights! This is another place i highly recommend if i will go back to Coron.. The place is good for those low maintenance traveller like me. LOL
At 4pm we started our trek to Mt Tapias.. The dare is to went up that 724 steps, confronting the big cross and seeing the breath taking view of the island. This was us less than ten steps to the cross..
Oh, we are half way there! Yahooo..
Finally reaching the top..
That most awaited posing with the cross at Mt Tapias..
Our last stop was the 40 degrees celcius hotspring at Mt Maquinit.. The girls posing before dipping into the warm water..
My little family enjoying the hot water :)
We went home tired and all the more excited for the next day.. See you on our Day 2! Whew.

Off to Palawan!

My husband, daughter, my godmother and ghie’s siblings will be heading to Palawan this morning for our three days vacation. This trip was planned since May and I couldn’t believe that I am writing this now, is it October 17 already? LOLThis trip is supposed to be for husband and I’s second wedding anniversary. BUT since it is a week before our actual wedding date, I am thinking of our ‘solo’ celebration somewhere in Tagaytay. If we can leave our daughter for one night, if not it will be another family affair I am looking forward to. ;)

Anyways, I should be going. This is supposed to be a rest from all that is giving me stress (work and blogging, LOL) but I will be bringing my laptop just in case I find time to drop EC and adgitize.

Please help us pray for a nice weather! :) Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a great weekend!

ps:
And yes, my 5 blogs has the same entry for today. ;)

Thoughts before the Getaway

I should not be reporting to work today. Husband has been telling me to just rest at home as I am not really feeling well since yesterday. But I insist, I have to work today and meet the deadlines before our trip tomorrow. Now no matter how much sore my body feels, my throat is killing me and my skin and head are stinging and aching so hard I am here at work typing this away.

I deposited the total donation of $679.60 to Daniel’s account yesterday morning. Clarissa replied in the afternoon saying Daniel was confined at Philippine General Hospital, his protime is low and he might need blood transfusion if his situation gets worst.

My reason for coming over to work today is not only to do my pending reports but also to blog about daniel. Now I pray not only for a good weather tomorrow for our flight to Palawan but also on Daniel’s speedy recovery. I know God answers prayers, and our group prayer for Daniel is and will always be answered.

Now, if it will not be too much to ask, please save a minute of your time to pray for Daniel every day. Thank you so much and have a great weekend ahead!

And Kat has been asking me to look for some waterproof digital camera. We need that on our snorkeling activity on Sunday. I found the best deals with those awesome gadgets plus a Newegg coupon code to get it at a discounted price. I should be sharing the news to her right now and I know she will be thrilled.

Dilemma

I can’t stop laughing while recalling my phone conversation with ghie’s elder sister kat, one of my best friends and our organizer on our Palawan getaway on Saturday. The chat could be sum of to three; our itinerary, the things to bring and my blogging life. The blogging life is the cause of my two dilemmas :D

My first dilemma is about my laptop nancy.

I want to bring my laptop, she said our accommodation has free wifi but since we will be staying at krystal lodge, where our cottage is above sea level, she thought of the laptop’s security. She told me I can rest blogging for three days. But the blogging addict in me cannot imagine a day without my blogs so.. now I am still thinking.. should I bring or leave my laptop home. Sigh.

Second is about Fedhz contest.

I want to win that point system contest for fedhz blogversary/birthday since half of that $200 will go to Daniel and half for my ‘christmas’ project if ever I will win. BUT since I am competing with my very good blogging friends Kaye, who is from Baguio and was kinda affected with Typhoon Pepeng and Pehpot, who was affected by typhoon ondoy and is about to give birth on November to my inaanak Sati, I am thinking of backing out. As of writing, I am backing out already LOL. I hope Peh or Kaye wins! :)

Anyways, I am taking this opportunity to greet my blogging friend and my kumareng PEHPOT for winning The Best Family and Living Blog in that most prestigious PHILIPPINE BLOG AWARDS. Congratulations Mare! Bongga ka! :)

The problem with Paypal

All charities and nonprofits in Asia Pacific are not allowed to use Paypal for fundraising. As Paypal ruined online donation drives for Ondoy victims. Click the rest of the story here.

So donations through paypal to our $3 Daniel Project might be ruined, i thanked God, Lolo Apol advised me to withdraw Daniel's money as quick as i can yesterday! :) So our total donation of $679.60 will be deposited to Daniel's bank account within this week.. Thank you so much to all the donors!

For those who would like to send their donations, Daniel and his family still needs them badly. Daniel's schedule of operation is on November 24. I just hope donations will come before that scheduled date. Daniel's family is asking for all kinds of support right now..

Just so the donations will be send right away to Daniel, please visit Daniel's blog. The details of his bank accounts are there. It will be safe to send them through bank, smart money or Xoom or LBC other than paypal.

What is Eid’l Adha?

Muslims celebrate Eid’l Adha. Eid’l Adha is celebrated yearly to mark the end of Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca (the holy place), to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim act of sacrificing his son. The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. At least once in a Muslims lifetime, those who can afford to make the trip are obligated to go on Hajj.. Thousands of Filipino muslims go on pilgrimage to Mecca each year. Before a Muslim goes on pilgrimage, he/she should cleanse himself or herself by making amends for wrongs committed.
