When it Rains, it Pours!

I spent Saturday at work finishing the commission reports that seemed to be endless. Going to work on weekends is not one of my favorite things to do but a slave like me doesn’t have the right to say NO.

So I’ve been stressed out last week until Monday! In fact, I went home very late on Monday night just to submit my reports. I was stressed out budgeting and contacting resorts to grant me discounted rates on our July Bohol getaway. To top it all, I was waiting for the sheriff’s email of approval for my 5th blog.

But everything went 360 degrees turn by Tuesday. The reports were submitted in a swift (no revisions and all), my 5th blog was accepted at my favorite advertising site and most of all I got a good deal for our July 2011 Bohol Vacation – free accommodation, free meal and hotel transfers for 4 days and 3 nights for all of us (5 adults + 4 kids)!

Moreover, and the sweetest deal ever – the owner of the resort offered an ALL EXPENSE PAID 3 days and 2 nights vacation for me, my husband and our daughter next month to where else?? BOHOL! Who could have thought I will celebrate my 29th birthday that grand?! Really?!! I must have done something good in the past to deserve such sweet deal! I know too, that its God’s ways of making wonders. Thank you Lord… thank you Mans!

Bring me back to Coron!

I am my usually moody self today at work. I don't like to talk and all i want to do when i am like this is to have some oppp$. LOL

Don't get me wrong, i have lots of things to take care of before Christmas and the blogging manna is the way to keep them moving forward.. ;)

For the meantime, I will feast my eyes on our CORON pictures at lunch time today. It always brings back all the happy memories and the excitement. I was happiest at Coron this year. Wish i could go back sooner than soon... I miss Coron.

Day 3 at Coron

For the two readers who are following my Coron stories, here's the tear-jerking final piece! I know you have been wanting me to post my coron experience daily but i have been scheduling my posts and i am taking blogging slowly. So i am updating my blog every two days, forgive me please. I cannot handle another pressure on my blog. :)

So this was our last breakfast at Krystal Lodge. After filling up our stomach at past 7, we all hurried to pack all our things. Our bangkero will fetch us at 8am sharp and will send us to airport. Travel time from Coron to Busuanga takes more than an hour. Our flight back to manila was scheduled at 1040am.
So upon arriving at the airport before 10am, we started taking pictures one last time. That's my daughter posing.. We were all getting ready to bid goodbye to the magnificent place that welcomed us (without a choice!) for three wonderful days..
Anyways, our energy level was so high it can reach the moon until we learned that our flight back to manila was rescheduled at 355pm. We have all praises to Zest Air until that very moment. We could have roamed the town proper or just stayed at our lodge longer if we have known that our flight was rescheduled!

What's left for us to do was to watch two movies while killing the time, bringing my laptop nancy has its purpose actually! And since we will be taking lunch in between and without any choice left we ate at the nearby canteen near the airport. OMG, i can almost hear myself talking to my soul crying out loud: why on earth everything is expensive in Coron?! One cup of rice is worth Php20.00!
After lunch, while some of the girls are watching movie and my husband and daughter were quite contented playing 'horsie' I busied myself capturing Coron airport on the remaining hours of our stay. It wasn't easy to wait almost six long hours at the airport.. That was unbearable.. oh am just exaggerating!! :)
But i have to congratulate myself for not engaging into a stand-up fight between the Zest Air people. It's just a matter of control actually, and it's hard! Maybe i'd like to ask them for a refund of our very expensive lunch or another trip back to Coron to compensate the six hours BUT i kept my cool and am glad i did! :)
So finally we're back in Manila and all aglow! Our Coron getaway is only the start of our travel stories! We will be going to Camarines Sur or Camiguin next year! (Calling Katrina, plan quickly please)

Day 2 at Coron

After trekking Mt Tapias’ 724 steps and dipping into Mt Maquinit’s 40 degrees Celsius hot spring we braced ourselves for the island hopping for our Day 2 at Coron.

So this was us getting ready to feast our eyes for what’s in store for the day.. (Please click the pictures to enlarge, you won't regret seeing the background view or US! LOL)
Our first stop was at the Atwayan Beach, where we had almost half of our 1000+ pictures. Forgetting that it was only first stop of the 7 wonderful place we were about to see. We practiced our snorkeling at this white sand beach while yena was busy running after all the fishes she sees..
After our lunch of big crabs and grilled fish at Atwayan beach off we went to the famous World War II Ship Wreck for our most awaited snorkeling moment.. Oh boy, we feast our eyes to all the wonders of the sea, fishes of different colors, sizes and shapes, corals of wonderful beauty and whole lot more!
We also went to 91 Beach but had no picture since we were all busy with swimming and playing at that another white sand beach.. Our next stop was at Twin Lagoons. We wished we had underwater camera here.. As we have to pass a little cave to get to the other lagoon. We only had this picture instead..
I saw the almost perfect rock formation under the water of Kayangan Lake. It has the most expensive entrance fee of P200 each but the price was worth it coz you have a lot of chance to capture all the photos you can only see on magazine. The place was really oozing with perfect beauty. But you have to trek another 200 steps up.. :) No pain, no gain.
We had our last snorkeling at Siete Pecados as our last stop for our island hopping. There are a lot of bigger fishes in there, feeding them and swimming with them is something I would love to do over and over again. The photo below was with our bangkero/tour guide Kuya Anthony. I wish I can go back to coron anytime I want to. The place is really IT! Heavenly, magical, and everything of beauty that I can only have in my dreams.. I will definitely go back! Will you come with me?! Taralets go! :)

Day 1 at Coron

Ola! I don’t know what to say and I don’t know where to start. Our Palawan getaway has more than one thousand pictures in my laptop nancy! Memories captured by 3 cameras of ten people having the great time at that heavenly place called Coron. I have to unleash all the stories, as ghie’s sister Katrina has been calling me like twice today just to start BLOGGING about it!

So before I receive another call from her, I have to share what happened to that day we literally pulled to make happen :) Please promise to not fall to sleep while browsing, there will be a whole lot of pictures.. so braze yourselves :)

Oh here's our sundo/bangkero, I highly recommend our bangkero Kuya Anthony for those who would like to stay at Coron. He is nice and very accomodating even to us who are deep to the bone thrifty :)
It is almost an hour drive from Busuanga Airport to Coron. We stopped by at one picturesque view ala new zealand with these countless cows for a postcard background :)
Krystal Lodge was our home for three days and two nights! This is another place i highly recommend if i will go back to Coron.. The place is good for those low maintenance traveller like me. LOL
At 4pm we started our trek to Mt Tapias.. The dare is to went up that 724 steps, confronting the big cross and seeing the breath taking view of the island. This was us less than ten steps to the cross..
Oh, we are half way there! Yahooo..

Off to Palawan!

My husband, daughter, my godmother and ghie’s siblings will be heading to Palawan this morning for our three days vacation. This trip was planned since May and I couldn’t believe that I am writing this now, is it October 17 already? LOLThis trip is supposed to be for husband and I’s second wedding anniversary. BUT since it is a week before our actual wedding date, I am thinking of our ‘solo’ celebration somewhere in Tagaytay. If we can leave our daughter for one night, if not it will be another family affair I am looking forward to. ;)

Anyways, I should be going. This is supposed to be a rest from all that is giving me stress (work and blogging, LOL) but I will be bringing my laptop just in case I find time to drop EC and adgitize.

Thoughts before the Getaway

I should not be reporting to work today. Husband has been telling me to just rest at home as I am not really feeling well since yesterday. But I insist, I have to work today and meet the deadlines before our trip tomorrow. Now no matter how much sore my body feels, my throat is killing me and my skin and head are stinging and aching so hard I am here at work typing this away.

I deposited the total donation of $679.60 to Daniel’s account yesterday morning. Clarissa replied in the afternoon saying Daniel was confined at Philippine General Hospital, his protime is low and he might need blood transfusion if his situation gets worst.

My reason for coming over to work today is not only to do my pending reports but also to blog about daniel. Now I pray not only for a good weather tomorrow for our flight to Palawan but also on Daniel’s speedy recovery. I know God answers prayers, and our group prayer for Daniel is and will always be answered.

Now, if it will not be too much to ask, please save a minute of your time to pray for Daniel every day. Thank you so much and have a great weekend ahead!

Dream Luggage for Our October Get Away

I was laughing when husband was planning his trip to davao last Tuesday as I told him if I should put his stuff on my mom’s biggest bag. As he doesn’t have any Briefcases , and would carry few clothes we make do of his sister’s gym bag.

I was telling him that we have to buy our own luggage as we will be going to Palawan on October. We would be visiting the place for the first time with lots of friends and our daughter Yena in tow so we should be armed with the biggest luggage I can possibly imagine.

My search for the ultimate luggage directs me to this one awesome website and I can’t stop picking my choices. Checking what’s in store left me thrilled at this one set of Carry-On Luggage as I can imagine how it can be fashionable, chic and modern. Of course I also have to think about some wheeled carry on luggage just in case yena would be so glued to me, I still have a choice to carry her and help carry some stuffs from hubby.

I know this is too early to plan as it is still five months away but this is a set of dream luggage I have in my mind right now. Now I have to find the easiest way to get them…

Am going to Las Vegas!

Not now but I know soon! Am browsing at Las Vegas Show Tickets website and started dreaming on the must see places to go! I know someday soon, I will be there. I have to get ready and plan my itinerary at this early.

First, I’d like to see the infamous neon lights! I heard this is one of the favorites of Las Vegas visitors so for a future visitor I think I have to see this one! There’s a tour available at Las Vegas Show Tickets that makes the neon lights of Las Vegas its main focus plus the cost of Neon Lights Tour tickets include drop off and pick up from many Las Vegas hotels. Very good deal!

Second stop would be at Madame Tussauds Interactive Wax Museum. It has only six other locations throughout the world other than the world famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London so for that one location in Las Vegas, this is a must see in my list!

Third, I enjoyed watching coyote ugly the movie so much, I have to visit the second Coyote Ugly Saloon that was opened in Las Vegas in 2001. This is for the nightlife I have been dreaming to see, girls dancing and living the time of their lives to the fullest!

Last and not the least, I will watch shows for how much my eyes can contain them. A must show to watch in my list would be Bette Midler Show! She’s an award winning television and film actress, an award winning singer with several gold records under her belt, and a Broadway star. In one project she’s serious and introspective and the next she’s brassy and rolling-on-the-floor funny. And I cannot stop myself from humming along her song, Better Days, that is one of my favorite songs of all time!

it has been a roller coaster ride with the birthday boy yobib (or birthmonth!heheh) coz we've been swimming a lot these past few weekends.. from swimmings and taking care of the sick me.. with or without water, having to take lots of baths or no bath allowed at all.. pool, beach.. i love them :)

first stop was at villa luz silang, an overnight swimming with the buddies of the som choir for the double celebration of the birthdays of jaime and my yobib.. no pix yet from jaime (ei jameng! hapi berdey!).. be patient with what i got on that night!

beach at ternate was the second stop! the beach was like i expected it to be, not so white sand and with rocks that would tickle ur barefoot! a nice place, clean beach, amazing people.. indeed i learn every place is beautiful when ur in the arms of the man who loves you!! almost paradise really coz im with the man i love and who loves me most!

i was sick last week. so sick, pretty sick. huhuh. but with cares and love of the people around me, i am now feeling quiet well Ok! thanks guyz for giving me noodles soup and isolating me at dinner! now i am getting thinner because of you! when u cant join them at dinner, you know ur safe! heheheh. i am not overeating (opkors!) but melon, arlyn and cleo do it all the time!! peace!

and i hope to not say hello to being absent from work again and use my SL.. ayoko na magkasakit, bawal magkasakit!

Pretty!! muka bang kagagaling lang sa sakit??! :) baby yobib always tells me i look like lou gee here, well if he's kidding, it's just fine.. and if he's serious, thanks baby! u see beautigul things when you look at the one you love! oppps. naniwala na ko! hahah. layo kaya kay lou gee! adik ba ko?! heheh. and im glad april is over, the birthmonth is over too! hehehjoke! i love april! eh i love yobib! i really do!
