Nesting at Home

Since I am feeling pain from time to time on my lower abdomen, my OB advised that I should take an early leave from work to avoid baby number 2’s untimely arrival before November. She asked me to think about it, since I will be on leave from work for two months and maternity leave for almost three months, that would mean almost 5 months of nesting at home.

Nesting does not mean i will be a queen at home, staying at home means also sacrifice. A lot of sacrifice but if it's for the baby's sake husband and i would always say yes. I was monitored for my sugar level and had 100g OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) yesterday and it was painful. I am scared of needles but were able to pull off the test with flying colors, 5 blood extractions on both hands seems so easy peasy for me, i am getting brave with needles already. ^_^

Started the nesting yesterday and I feel a lot better. I hope and pray that baby number 2 will be just fine and she will be out healthy on November.

It’s a Girl!

I cannot believe it when the ultrasound showed am having a girl, all along husband and I thought we’re having a baby boy. Feels so down especially when we’re both set to seeing blues and greens this time and we have been handing down yena’s little dresses to her cousins. Plus we have also thought of baby boys names.

I thought it’s selfish to wish that the baby should be a boy considering the fact that I have been praying for her/him to be healthy. I have been feeling some difficulty lately and I cut down my days of work as advised by my OB, husband and I decided that I should not go to work on Mondays (the hardest day to go to work since the buses are all jam-packed and I cannot anymore endure standing up on the bus!) but I wasn’t able to go to work last Friday as I cannot even move or stand up. I feel a lot of pain in my lower tummy and the baby seems to setting way below my tummy that it hurts.

I guess I need to follow my OB’s advise, to have a full bed rest before the baby arrives. She has been telling me to think about it this week. Two months of bed rest to ensure baby number two’s good health isn’t too much to ask. I can give up my work (my life even!) for her, if I have to.

On Preterm Labor and Complete Bed Rest

I felt a sudden pain in my tummy friday morning at work and decided to call my OB right away. She said I should go to the nearest ER, but thinking I should go and see her directly, husband and I seemed to fly from Makati to Lasalle Dasmarinas to have baby number checked.

The OB said, I felt a pre-term labor and needed to have some bed rest for at least one week. And if possible I should start working from home to prevent another pre-term labor from happening. I am only 22 weeks pregnant and it would be risky to travel everyday to work like I used to.

Thinking of the work I left so suddenly I requested to the OB if I can have a rest until Monday. I feel so unfair to request that not thinking of risking baby number 2, so when my boss told me that it’s ok to take a rest I decided to have a complete one week bed rest. So am home bound since Friday, resting on my bed since weekend and up til now…

I wonder what else I can do aside from sleeping and browsing FB. I hope typing a blog post to update my blogs is somehow a ‘rest’. ^_^

Wanted: OB in Cavite

I don’t like my first OB on my first pregnancy. She was recommended by a friend but it was late to find out that she loves to do CS to her patients. So I decided to go to a different OB now that I’m on my second pregnancy, she’s also recommended by a friend so I told myself I will stick with her until I give birth.

Both OBs are old, must be very expert at their field, they are at their prime and don’t seem to enjoy much being an OB. I say so, because both don’t smile often and don’t give as much as advises to their pregnant patients. They seem irritated at little questions and look so intimidating. I have my monthly checkup with her and there were thoughts of my transferring to much accommodating OB but I told myself to stick with her and endure the nine months of seeing her unhappy face during consultation.

But I was so fed up last Saturday when I waited for three hours outside her clinic and when we finally met for less than 5 minutes consultation she answered my question sarcastically. I asked her what to do that I feel hurt every time I sit down, I feel that the baby might be so low considering the fact that I commute to work every day and sometimes stand up for hours in the bus. Mockingly she said, “buy a car, hire a driver or let someone carry you to work, or else ride an airplane or a helicopter and you won’t feel any pain!”

If she was younger I might have walk out of her clinic right away. But she’s so old to utter those words to her pregnant patient! Can anybody out there give me an OB that’s accommodating to simple question like that?!! I know there are a lot of accommodating and kind OB out there and it’s not yet too late to find a new one.

If you know someone, please let me know. I really need to get a new OB in La Salle UMC Dasmarinas. Thank you very much.

Pregnant!

Just so you know I am crying right now coz after months of waiting I will be a mother for the second time around! I cannot thank God enough for giving me this blessing. I am so overwhelmed. Thank you Lord!

I have been so used to seeing negative results on pregnancy test. In fact, I had my last PT first week of march. All of which I discreetly do to hide from my sarcastic husband – who teases me to no end every time it’s negative. So seeing two lines on a PT just now seems so peculiar. To say that I cried is the understatement of the year!

So I called husband right away telling him that he will be a father for the second time around. I know he has been wanting this to hear but he was so silent on the other end of the line. He said he’s in the state of shock. I told him I texted my sister on my way home coz I wanted to eat buttered shrimp and hot soup. But my sister, that girl didn’t get my text. So I was kind of sad. Now am realizing that I have been eating lots of shrimps already hihih.

And then after a few minutes husband called again telling me that he would buy me shrimps and cook my fave buttered shrimp! He woke up from the state of shock, finally.

Now I can’t wait to eat and eat and eat. And will have my check up asap!

And bout my yena? I told her the good news while pointing at my tummy. She was shocked and asked - WHAT'S ITS NAME??!! Told her since she's my baby number 1, we have to call her/him BABY NUMBER 2 and she agreed! :)

back to blogging again!

i am on my 27 weeks of being so-pregnant. so pregnant because i already gain 18-20 lbs already and i always feel 'baby yoghurt' playing and kicking inside me. it is really one of the many joys of being pregnant, and im savouring every moment of it! :)

last night, the big baby / hubby got his share of quality time with yoghurt. i woke up at 2am finding him awake, kissing and talking to yoghurt. yoghurt in turn kick so hard and playfully daddy would touch every space in my tummy.. talking of pregnancy joys? it is soooo joyful to see your husband play with your unborn child. aw, simple gesture that really melts my heart.

i have to admit that i lost that writer feeling while being pregnant, now i hate telling stories and writing it down. hubby always complains about that. that i dont share my thoughts and feelings in my blog anymore. he said, he should know coz he would always read it anytime he'ss free.. and i would like to apologize to him, my only fan in my blog, LOL, this time i will not promise but i will dutifully update it as soon as i can. wink!
now i have to recall all the what-was in my idle days as a lazy-blogger! heheh

last saturday we went to picnic grove in tagaytay.

and it was really fun! we brought along hubby's nephews and his brother while ninang emi tags along her children and only apo.. hubby and i kiddingly told them it was our honeymoon in tagaytay with the children.. and it was really a quality time with him. i so love the feeling of having a little family having picnics.. i cant stop dreaming of my future kids playing with their dad and me lovingly prepare everything for them.. geezz i am so excited to have my little family picnic time already! :D

at di kumpleto pag wala ang picture ng love birds..

pagbubuntis - 2nd part

before magtest ay inutusan ko si YObib bumili ng roasted chicken. so im alone when i did the test! ( details tlga!!hihih ) and then.. its 2 lines! bingo!! labas agad ako and look for him.. wala akong mapuntahan kaya deretso na ko sa opisina nina Daryl.. at OO! si Daryl at ang mga kaopisina nia ang unang nakaalam ng gud news!

going home running, nasalubong ko ang AMA! and whoa! tulad ko rin di siya makapaniwala.. it was really a momentous night. para kaming nananalo sa lotto!!

the next day, i let all my friends know about it! as well as my boss and my officemates.. saya!!

ang hirap ng pagiging buntis?

nah. andami. i cannot remember how many times na kong naduwal, nagsuka, nahilo at naging feeling sick. napakahirap pala. there are times na after kong mag throwup, tatawagan ko si yobib just to nag him and tell him how hard it is.. mahirap po. pero masasabi kong worth it. kasi..

ang masarap na part?

now, that i am 21 weeks pregnant nararamdaman ko na ang pag galaw ng baby ko! sobrang sarap ng pakiramdam na alam mong gumagalaw ang anak mo inside ur tummy.. dabest! at maramdaman ang pagmamahal, pag aaruga at pag suporta ng iyong kabiyak.. wowww!! sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam. i will never ask for more!

masakit pa!

two days na after ng 100g OGTT (glucose tolerance test daw sabi ng secretary ng OB ko).. now sakit pa rin ng mga turok sa braso (?) ko.. after kasi ng 50g OCT (labtest din daw to sa dugo, test kung mataas ang glucose!) ko nung saturday.. nakita nilang mataas ang sugar ko. for a normal range of 80-120, 145 ang score ko! oh diba?! taas na daw. at need for another lab test, yun na nga ung 100g OGTT.

fasting ako ng 10-12 hrs. kinuhaan ng dugo the nest morning at 9am. pinainom ng matamis na tubig by 930. kinuhanan ulit ng dugo by 1030, 1130 at 1230. effect? hayun? sobrang gutom at hinang hina ako.. :(

but now i'm mejo ok na! si baby ko nga likot na rin eh.. at dahil likot na si baby may sekreto akong ssabihin sa'yo!! ;)

BERDEY namen ng pinakamamahal kong si YObib today!! yahoooo!!! labyu baby Yobib!! i will never ask for anything more than to be always by your side, loving you and to grow old with you. you should know by now.. that I LOVE YOU and that will never ever change!!

confusing!

since 'im calling Yobib 'baby' and our future baby 'baby' rin.. i will start calling my sooon baby YOGHURT ;) since that's the suggestion of my super sutil at intelihenteng 'baby'.. isnt it nice??! :D

ang pagbubuntis.. and loving it!

last week of june, required ang lahat sa company na magpa annual physical exam (APE). at since nagpunta mismo sa kumpanya ang associated clinic, i cannot hide and i cannot run kahit mega ayaw ko magpa annual checkup.

dos, who's the first to know? how did yobib know? what's his reaction?
on the next issue na please, pagod na ang buntis magtype eh.. :)

babae po AKO!

i will be a mother soon, and yobib a father too!
I cannot believe how overwhelming is this feeling..

I cannot wait to feel you with my bare hands,
I cannot wait to see how you will become
or how we will become as your parents..

but i know you will be who you are
you are the greatest thing that ever happen to me,

i love you forever my baby, my angel.
