My Greatest Blessings

Have you asked yourself lately on what makes you happy? We may find different definition to happiness, some find it on things others on people. Those who found happiness on things often find themselves empty- longing for more. But when you find happiness on someone else's happiness that's kinda deep. The happiness roots from within.

And you can see smiles from different source and platform. Some you see smiling but their eyes aren't. Some are crying but their eyes twinkling with happiness. What am trying to say is this - i have been trying to find happiness and happiness has found me the day i got my  first ever biggest blessing - my daughter yena. And i have been happiest since then. Throughout the years i have been blessed with my second daughter Yani and then our little boy yllac. This happiness is at the deepest form. You see me smiling, cryin or everything in between but my eyes would show one thing. That smile of contentment, pure joy and happiness for being blessed tremendously.

I have prayed for three kids since i was in my twenties. Yes even before i had my first boyfriend and God gave me my wish. And not only that, he gave me the best friend in my spouse. And whenever i look at this collage i smile. God has been blessin me every single day since i have them.

New Year 2014

New year's eve is always something we look forward to. Now that we have three piglets we make sure we follow those traditions from fruits to sweets on the table. We want the whole year to be full of sweetness and love. I requested husband to cook pesto chicken penne, one of our fave dish from Pizza Hut but were not able to get a recipe online. What we were able to copy from pizza hut however is their crab roll salad!!!

That's the newest addition to our simple media noche...
Since the three piglets were already sleeping, we feast on these while talking about 2013. It was a very difficult year however we are thankful because this is the year when we received one of our greatest gift, our baby boy Yllac.

Now we look forward to a fruitful year, 2014 the year of the wood horse. Chinese predictions said this is a good year for money for those born in the year of the rooster (like me!) however this isnt a good year for those born on the year of the dog (like husband!). Husband and i really fit to a T. So i guess this is going to be a good year still. Just as long as we are together we can make it one of our best years together. Aja 2014!!!

Looking at the Brighter Side

Working with Sales has taught me a lot of new things. Even help me see things in different perspectives. When I would usually complain about my life in general when struggles arise, I started to learn to look at the bright side of things. Trust me, this isn’t easy to do when I am struggling to get back on my feet after almost four months of maternity leave and I have a lot of catching up to do with my “numbers”. This is the main cause of my stress and when I start to feel all left up I just want to raise both my hands and scream surrender---- but NO. I shifted to Sales for one reason – to give the best I can offer to my children’s future and giving up means giving up on them.

So how do I manage to get up every morning after sleepless nights rearing to the one and half year old daughter Yani and to our three months old baby Yllac? I always start the day with a prayer. Yes, to the tune of Madonna’s Say a Little Prayer. I am not prayerful, let me tell you, my husband is and that’s one I am thankful every day. When I feel down with all the things that’s happening at work, I look forward to spending time with my husband (who teases me to no end but whom I feel secure and loved and I can go on with my endless bitching and complaints and still love me in spite all that!). I always thank the Lord that I married an imperfect individual like me BUT I definitely can say – I married a good man!

My precious bebes - Yena, Yani and Yllac
My children? Well, they are my priceless gifts and I really cannot imagine my life without them. When I feel low, I just look at them and feel am the richest human being on earth. I cannot believe I have so much love to give until I met them. With all the hats I wear in a day, the greatest and the sweetest to my ears are these three little creatures that call me with their tiny little voices – MOMMY!!

Change is good

There are so many things to share, but so little time to do so. If you have been here the past years, i'll tell you there has been a lot of things that's going on in our lives. This blog has seen my ups and downs, i have wrote about almost anything here, from my father and mother's health problems, my finding my true love, my pregnancies, my children and all the travels i had with my family BUT i have yet to write about the day i lost the man i loved the most, my father. I still get emotional and have yet to find courage writing about the day i lost a big part of my life. If i can hold myself even for a little while, i will write about that tragic day on his first year's death anniversary in August. That's if i can.

Anyway, i have been talking about change, now let me tell them one by one. My family has become bigger, now we have two girls and one boy. Yes, i gave birth (via CS for the 3rd time!) to a healthy baby boy last March. In April, husband has to shift from Finance to Sales, just like i did last year! Now we're both on the selling field. But he has to learn how to drive and is now driving going to work, and because he loves me that much, he drops me off in my work first and fetch me every single day.

When before, we would talk and sleep in the bus, now we have each other in his car every day, our moments to talk about everything and anything under the sun. With three kids at home, we hardly find time to do that at home. When the kids are sleep at night, we're both tired to still catch up on what happened the whole day. And husband has yet to finish his masteral class he started last year. To study and work at the same time is hard and i have to give that to husband. He has been under a lot of stress lately and even if he tells me everything, i still can feel how difficult it is for him - to be a newbie in Sales and to finish his MBA. What does a wife do? Support him in anyway i can.

Now we're embracing all these changes, well change is good. I know we'll go through a lot of things in the future but as long as we have each other we're going to make it through.

PBW: Rainy Weekend

So what's left to do when it's raining on weekends? Model some clothes and pose like a pro! Well, that's what my daughter Yena and i did last saturday afternoon..

yena modeling a fab jacket from Tita Pehpot

Our typical sunday looks like this: picture taking right after  the 9am mass. And here's one of them!
In the afternoon we had some bonding time with the choir while feasting on food.. happy birthday to grace :) (will post the picture here as soon as i grab one from her FB acct hihih)

It's another fun weekend for my little family. How about you? Click the badge to join and see other entries.. See you..

PBW: Rainy Sunday

We spent our weekend at home since the weather can be very unpredictable. Yael, my nephew turned three today so the kids take turn in blowing the cake. ^_^ I love looking at them when they blow the candle endlessly. Kids have simple joy and its contagious...

After the tireless blowing of cakes we spent the afternoon watching The Buzz Showbiz Central and basketball. If our TV could talk, for sure it has lots of complaints most especially if husband holds the remote. What i love about rainy weekend is the nice talks with husband and yena's presentation of her many tricks over merienda of banana cue and coke.

How about you? How was your weekend?

PBW: Sunday Delight

Missed PBW so much! Now am back :) Because of so much excitement on yena's new dress from Fedhz, I uploaded the same pictures at my facebook page too! I want the whole world to see, how nice that little dress looks on my yena, who we call trudis lately.

That's her happy pose before the mass...

And right after the mass, we went to my cousin's place for the blessing of her house. That's all of us, cousins, nephews and nieces. Cheeese!

PBW: Yellow Sunday

I noticed that weekends for the family this whole summer is so hectic. If it's not outing, it's the parties that keep our little family so occupied. Like yesterday, we had to attend a baptism in the morning, birthday party in the afternoon and another birthday party in the evening.

Will share pictures soon when i find time, for now here's our picture after the mass and before the baptism ceremony in our church.

Yellow family this time!

PBW: Mother's Day at Lasalette

I have been bugging husband to bring me back to Lasalette, the historical place where he promised me lots of kids on our mushroom days, hihi. We always had a very busy sunday it was hard to schedule a quick visit to that little paradise in Silang. But since the choir has no scheduled service at our church plus it's mother's day, off to Lasalette we went to stroll the place after the afternoon mass.

Me and my sister Aya on smiling galore. Happy Mother's Day talaga hihihi ^_^
Our kids plus nephew and niece from our cousins.
It was the kids first time to Lasalette and they enjoyed it.
L-R (Yobib, Me, Eya, Gy, Yena, Yael, Joshua, my sister Aya and my BIL Ely) One big happy family, lol

It was a fun-filled day! I wish its always Mother's Day lol. How about you? How was your weekend?

PBW: Phoenix Petroleum at GMA Cavite

Photobucket

Marce Fedhz and I have a little secret before the weekends. I also emailed Marce Yami for connivance. But Saturday was a failure to go with the planned top secret meeting. Husband has a very important event to attend to and Yena and I had to be with him.

So we spent our Saturday on the opening of phoenix petroleum 5 minutes away from our home! And spent Sundays goofing around at home while playing with husband’s new guitar – another thing I bought from blogging moolah!

How about you? How was your weekend?

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

Friday night, I have been smiling while planning for my second mother's day celebration come sunday. In my mind i am excitedly packing yena's bag for a quick trip to Araneta Coliseum to watch PBA with husband, his brother Maki and my brother Lui. After mass we should be running for the next bus to Pasig to attend Chico's first birthday, Pehpot's son.

But none of my plan turned to reality. As yena got on and off fever since saturday, we decided to just stay home. She was really not feeling well at the church while Husband and I were all smiles. The mass was heartrending, everybody almost cried with the song for mother's. I was about to cry too..

Husband's mother's day gifts to me were.. purple flat sandals, lavender crocs sandals from DIVI and purple pouch from michaela :) So, you see i am a spoiled wife sometimes and am so loved by husband ALL the time!! :)

Come sunday afternoon, husband surprised me with what i have been wishing for - a washing machine!!! He told me wanted to buy me lavender colored washing machine, but it was 6.2kg only so he bought me 7.5kg white and pink :) See him goofing around while am taking picture of my newest toy in the house :D

So i have to say that aside from husband's gifts I really have a happy mother's day because of his gestures of love! Because the priest at the mass told every husband and children to give ALL the MOMs a rest from the house chores of the day, I was spoiled all the more because hubby did all the washing of the dishes, cooking and ironing of all our mountain loads of clothes :)

I am sooo happy wife! :) Love you daddy! How i wish its always mother's day. LOL

My Husband's Slippers and My Very Sweet Daughter

Here is the little story. For many nights now, Yena has a habit of getting husband's slippers and slipping them into his feet.

That seems like an achievement for a proud mommy like me, so i told her to slip it slowly coz i am capturing it.. and she did it slowly.. :)

And the little story will end with a shower of hugs and kisses as a price for a very sweet daughter like her from daddy and mommy! ;)

Happy Sentiments

Family means putting your arms around each other and being there.

Dont get me wrong, my mother love me most until now, my child too, i can feel it to my bones :). And regardless of all the hurt, i love her most to eternity! This i swear to God! But the scars and the promises of a family that i have since that fateful day i was born was lost the second i got married without them.

I’d like to think i have been a good daughter. Being a first born, i was poured in with lots of love and attention.. From then until now, i know i am deeply loved.

I remember my mother told me that when I decided to get married someday, she would not meddle in all decisions I would make. Whom I choose is my sole choice. My heart is my affair I have to deal on my own.

That was what she told me.

And why are we smiling like there will be no tomorrow on this photo??

Its because, i know deep down my heart that my mother loves my husband too!! It started the day Yena arrived, the moment when i have my own family too, when i was born a mother. I can see it in her eyes! She loves my husband! Yahoo!! It has been my prayer ever since, that for how much my mother loves me, she will too to my husband. Looks like it has been an answered prayer! Eveyone's at peace! Happy?! :)

You and I will Never Say Goodbye

while i was a fool complaining on what kind of life i am in. or for what kind of wife i have been. i just thank God for the husband who inspite and despite of my shortcomings, still loves me the best as he could. though imperfect like me, he still and always battles with me to give Yena the best of what our little world has to offer.

i have the utmost mood swings that irritates him, but unlike other husband he would not hurt me a bit. i am a jealous lover, but unlike the man my close friend shared he would rather stay home with me to rub out such wrong suspicions. i am a nagging wife sometimes, but he never nag back at me, and smiles back at me instead. he was a typical playboy before, but totally changed now (he swore!) and i firmly believe him when he said so.

id like to do things my way, he likes to do his own. we are two imperfect being on this imperfect world but still we are sticking into each other just because..

we love. each other. our daughter the most!

to that man i said yes, i do (while laughing with him) on our wedding day 10 months ago and to the man i will celebrate my 25 months of mushy things tomorrow.. I love you more and more each day!

Merrily we roll along

Weekends was high! We just let it rain, cause we couldnt stop it from pouring! :) Pedia visit and malling on saturday while sunday was the usual mass and the baptism of my sister's youngest son! Super tiring but FUN! FUN! FUN! :D

Saturday was yena's pedia visit and after that we were supposed to spend the day at manila with Daryl and the rest of the gang, but due to bad weather and for fear of yena getting sick again, we decided to just stay at home.

And even if it was raining cats and dogs on sunday mornings, we couldnt afford to be absent to our sunday service at our church. I really couldnt wait to see Yena singing with us during the mass.. :)

After the mass, it was me and Yena at our house with my ever extending family for the baptismal celebration of my sister's son. I would love hubby to be with us on every celebration but... and so on and so forth, this will be a sad part, kaya move forward! :(

With all the problems i have right now, i just cannot complain! Who would i dare say, i have my family with me and i am happy! As they say, you cannot have everything, kasi nga if you do.. WHERE WILL YOU PUT THEM???!! :p

family is a haven in a heartless world

(My little family with yena's playmate Mary with our Ninang Imee)

A quote says, "you don't choose your family. they are God's gift to you, as you are to them".. YES it is, absolutely! and so allow me to greet our little heaven here on earth, our baby..
Happy 6 months our Yelena Hayden!
- 0 -

Until friday this week as expected by PAGASA, typhoon Helen is expected to hit extreme Northern Luzon, signal number 2 is on Cagayan provinces, signal number 1 on provinces of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Aurora, that is according to Inquirer. Even with small rainfall in Cavite and Metro Manila, you can expect heavy traffic everywhere and little river floods at Gil Puyat Ave Makati, i say, what's new?

Well anyways, Yena's name is from HELEN. Hope this Helen is so much kinder than typhoon Frank. Cause our Yelena or Helen is so so much kind little baby and she's growing sweet and lovable all the more each day!

sunday mornings

every sunday its a routine already to wake up at 7 in the morning and go to 9am mass. we do it every sundays kahit noong wala pa si yenang. but now it is different. then, yobib and i would wake up, take a bath, get dressed and then zoom to the church. now, i have to get up earlier than usual to prepare for yena's things.. now it is always a hurry for me. i have to take care of yobib's and yena's.. its like playtime. its tiring but its fun.

after mass, we would eat out at a very sozy restaurant, NOT. hahahah. you wish. kain lang kami dun sa lugawan malapit sa simbahan! pero wag ka, sarap po dun! masaya kasi kasama ang mga malalakas sa lugaw na mga choir.. at pagkatapos uwian. pede na magsiesta kahit wla pang tanghalian! hihih

ngayon, bisyo na nameng mag asawa ang mag picture taking with yenang after mass.. all the memories parang gusto ko icapture.

April 20, 2008 (Yena 3 months & 5 days) here with Tito Andy, Daddy's eldest brother

April 13, 2008 (Yena going 3 months old)
April 6, 2008 (Yena 2 months & 2 weeks)
Feb 10, 2008 ( Yena nearly 2 months old)

at after picture taking, yenang and i will go to our house (my mother's house) without yobib. sigh. sad. but that's another story. kwento ko na lang pag emote session ako..
