I was able to attend the dedication of Madz’ pretty daughter, Sophia Marie yesterday with my daughter Yena, who has a swollen face but was very well behaved. Will post the pictures, need to grab it on Madz facebook later.

My apology to Glenda, Fedhz and Pehpot for not being able to attend our meet up yesterday. Sad. Please let's set it next week!!! Wink

I am sad without my usual blogging routines nightly but started to realize some things. Well, I CAN live without internet connection just as long as I have proxy at work. My GOD is bigger than smart. ALWAYS.

Now I can’t wait tomorrow night!

Elusive Internet Connection

My affair with internet connection in the past left me brokenhearted. It is giving me heartaches until now. I loved smartbro connection when we were still living with my in-laws. Without a good signal on our house, I had it disconnected and it left me with obligation to pay smart of a pre term charges! Even if smart can’t provide me a connection I don’t have the right to cut their service?! That is totally absurd, I won’t pay them, I guess I will take that obligation down to my grave.

I bought smart wireless thinking this could be the answer. I used the kit for not more than 10 times and I gave up. It has the poorest connection ever! So I sell it for a lesser price.

My last option was with Digitel. Now talking about customer service at its worst is like talking about Digitel. After a month of fully paid installation fee and first month MSF, there isn’t sign of installation from them so I decided to quit my application and asked for refund. Already three weeks now and I haven’t received my money back. Now that is digitel! Would you mind getting their service?

Before, I was stressed on getting an internet connection at home but now i am not anymore. I guess with those heartaches I got from them I have to move on without it.

Though am still hopeful that the best internet connection is yet to come! ;)

Am keeping my Smartbro wireless prepaid, No choice.

Since I have been using my smartbro wireless at home, which is very very slow by the way, I asked my younger sister to inquire at PLDT and Digitel on their internet package in our area. I have high hopes to have at least 384kbps back, cause using the wireless of smartbro is like reaching my boiling point it only reached up to 90kbps. I can view my blog after 10 minutes of waiting, can’t view the message box and comments and can’t even open plurk! Worst is I can’t use yahoo messenger!!

So for those weekends, when I have a spare time to open my nancy laptop and browse the internet I choose to sleep instead. So weekends mean no blogging, blog hopping, no opps, no moolah. Nothing. Nah.

So came the reply of PLDT, my sister said they don’t have internet package yet and directs us to SMART. Digitel however don’t have available slot in our area.. Other internet companies hasn’t reached our province YET. I am looking forward to my company’s internet connection near our area very soon. I know by that time I will have a great time.

I bought this prepaid kit after i had my account deactivated with Smart last month for P1,995. I was trying to sell it for P1,500 coz i don't like to keep 'anything' SMART in my life but i have no choice. Am keeping it for the mean time. So it looks like I still don’t have internet connection at home! See you everybody every weekdays! Sigh.

PS: I am not flying to Davao! How i wish.. Now i have to share who's flying on my next entry. Keep on guessing.. heheh

How smart is SMART – Final Part

Composed but really really angry I told the customer service officer everything I wanted to tell SMART! This would be a reiteration to what I told that good officer: plain and simple letter from a disgusted customer like me.

Dear Smart,

You are very smart but very very UNFAIR. I would never know how you approve or disapprove waiver letter regarding any refund, no one does. The discretion is sole yours. But I have to say that with that refund and for whoever asked for waiver, for 100%, i think you only grant 10% of them. That is my opinion!

Coz if I were SMART, why would I pay back the P800 refund to customers that cut their service to me? I would lose months of revenue plus pay them back? Am not stupid, I am SMART! (SMART talking here, not me!)

But because I really need a connection at home, I got another Smart prepaid wireless connection worth P1,995 after i disconnected that post paid account. Sadly, it never works! I thought it would be fast to use to key cities in the philippines with a promise speed of up to 2Mbps but it is really hopeless! See how great (sarcasm) and smart your commercial is? Telling the people you have the best internet connection is bogus! Shame on you Smart!

My point here is, charge me P10,000 pre termination fee if i just thought of disconnecting my account with you with no VALID reason at all! Why do i have to pay for the pre term fee if the problem is your signal in my area?! That just ain't right!

I don’t need you to pay me P1,000, no I don’t really need that from you. Give me the fairness I need and I will pay you P8,000. But I doubt if you know how fairness is, so am signing off.

How smart is SMART – Part II

After two weeks, I went to the wireless center and put my account on disconnection on which they let me make a letter to waive my pre termination fee. The smart bro plan 999 has a 12 months contract so a pre termination fee of P10,000 should be paid if I would like to terminate my account within 12 months. So I did a letter telling them how I wanted my connection BUT there is no signal in our area! It was useless to maintain my account, or revert back to my old address or place my connection on another area. They were not valid choices for me! The contractors can attest to that signal problem! So with high hope that they would approve my letter, I thought I would be getting some adjustments on my last bill and a refund of P800.

Calling their customer hotline, 02-6727277. I was told I could get the adjustment of my bill of P200+. I inquired about the refund and was told to ask about it on the Smart wireless center at our place.

For the finale, I will not be getting any money from smart. In fact I owe them P8,000+ of the pre termination fee. I was told the letter I made asking for waive on my disconnection was not approved, so I have to pay the pre termination fee. Instead of P10,000 it will only be P8,000 because of the adjustments and the refund. How smart!

How smart is SMART – Part 1

To start with, I have my smartbro plan 999 since December 2008. Globe, PLDT and Eastern Telecom has not reach our province yet, or if they do the connection I was told will not be favorable. So without any choice, I applied to Smart. Got my connection within the week and I had a grand time with my connection sometimes. As we all know how Smartbro works. It is an unlimited connection for a month with a charge of only P999.00, so cheap. And yes the service match with the price. But as I said that I don’t have any choice, I kept on.

Until we moved to our new house March 2009. I wanted my connection relocated. That was a MUST. I paid smart, P1,450 for relocation fee, I was told I could refund P800 if the process of relocation would not be successful. So for those trial times of searching a signal at our new house, the two contractors gave up, there was no signal in our area. The place seemed congested. I was told one tower of Smart was not working near our place. Persistent to have my connection I told them to retry and check on it again for days. It seemed I would not have my connection, so my three choices were, 1) to revert back to my old address, 2) to transfer to any locations or 3) to permanently disconnect my account with them. As number 1 and 3 would seem so impossible (imagine this, I have my own house and my connection on another address) and that would be very inconvenient! So I decided to disconnect my account, in order not to be charge for a service I will not be getting. (So i thought it was a smart move on my part, but i was wrong!)

How smart is SMART

I have a SMARTBro Plan 999 last December 2008. Paid Php1,450 relocation fee on March 2009. I was told I can get the refund of Php800 if the relocation unsuccessful. I did not have my connection since March at our new house. I decided to permanently disconnect my account. I expected a refund of P800 plus an adjustment on my bill of P200+ by April 2009.

Smart owes me P1,000+ BUT I will HAVE to pay them P8,000+!

SMART really is SMART! (evil laugh here!)

PS. This is not about the P1,000 SMART owes me, money is not the matter here. This is about how clever smart is! I wonder why they are the number one cell phone company as of the moment. Evil!
