How smart is SMART – Final Part

Composed but really really angry I told the customer service officer everything I wanted to tell SMART! This would be a reiteration to what I told that good officer: plain and simple letter from a disgusted customer like me.

Dear Smart,

You are very smart but very very UNFAIR. I would never know how you approve or disapprove waiver letter regarding any refund, no one does. The discretion is sole yours. But I have to say that with that refund and for whoever asked for waiver, for 100%, i think you only grant 10% of them. That is my opinion!

Coz if I were SMART, why would I pay back the P800 refund to customers that cut their service to me? I would lose months of revenue plus pay them back? Am not stupid, I am SMART! (SMART talking here, not me!)

But because I really need a connection at home, I got another Smart prepaid wireless connection worth P1,995 after i disconnected that post paid account. Sadly, it never works! I thought it would be fast to use to key cities in the philippines with a promise speed of up to 2Mbps but it is really hopeless! See how great (sarcasm) and smart your commercial is? Telling the people you have the best internet connection is bogus! Shame on you Smart!

My point here is, charge me P10,000 pre termination fee if i just thought of disconnecting my account with you with no VALID reason at all! Why do i have to pay for the pre term fee if the problem is your signal in my area?! That just ain't right!

I don’t need you to pay me P1,000
, no I don’t really need that from you. Give me the fairness I need and I will pay you P8,000. But I doubt if you know how fairness is, so am signing off.

Best of luck to how smart your *ss is!

We used to have a problem with Smartbro, so we had it cut. We're using Globe now, but we're also having problems; they're giving us headaches. So we plan to have it permanently cut as well. Makes you wonder what company to turn to next.

From my own point of view, there is no such word as refund in the Philippines. My wife was buying a piece of land in Legazpi and in the contract was stated that whenever the project will be pushed through that the developer will refund the money we paid. We have paid 160K pesos and until now the said project is pending so we had requested a refund almost two years now, and still haven't any money back from them.. Can you imagine that... So refund is not a word in businessmen's mind in the Philippines.

Sorry for my ranting, I do like Philippines but there are things that I can't just stand.

I have a SMARTBRO plan 999. It's giving a average download speed of 200-300kbps, no way to make it up to 2mbps, that's just impossible. From time to time, it breaks -- read this: 'no connection at all' and I would BUG them right away. HEY, I'm paying you on time, sometimes, I'm paying ahead of the due date, why this service huh!!??

They would dispatched their contractors to my location and fix the problem and that's the best thing they can do, no promise that it won't break again, worst, no promise that I will ever have a better speed.

Re: relocation of the antena (CANOPY)...

I did it myself because if I let them, I'll cash out. 1500 to transfer their SMART antena from a to a house that's just a few meters away. No way, I'll handle it myself.

It's the right thing to do ate Niko, never just say YES to all that they'll require coz their service isn't what they claim it to be!

girl, you are not alone....my friend in CDO have the same problem...she can only do BLAH BLAH BLAH and ignore what they charge to her....

they have bad services....i am an E-loader din , dami reklamo sa load...anyway, at least you made your point...

John is right, there is no refund in the Philippines, if there was...it would take a long time. I am always a victim.

Here in the US, it is so unbelievable...you complain, you got your money back...NO QUESTIONS ASK...customer satisfaction is their top priority...

kalma lang sister Niko ha...at least na ipa labas mo na

I really agree with John above. If you ask for a refund here, what you get is a series of insurmountable hoops! In the US, they will refund your payment without any questions and tell you that they're sorry. (for whatever it is that you don't like)

Here, you get poor service. And as if that is not enough, they bundle it with poor customer support. Then, they expect you to thank them for it. Great!

cool ka lang mare, hehehe..
But it's good you told them that. I think Smart and Globe have the same problems. My brother had their internet connection at Globe and got so irritated with them becoz of their services. Parang mgka heart attack na ata, haha. so, he terminated his contract with them - pero ang tagal ha. like like what you went thru but finally, ang Globe na ang ng surrender sa kanya, haha.

Buti nlng di kami kumuha ng Smart or Globe line kasi masyadong commercialized. Dun nlng kami sa low profile and it's been more than 2 years na that we don't have any problems with them. My brod used the same line na with us.

I hope ma settle na yung problem mo with them & I really hope they will be fair, too.
