He got his BALLS on father's day

He got TWO alright.

My husband has been asking me for a 52" LCD TV as my father's day gift to him. It was next to impossible so he said a basketball would do! So we went to the mall, and he got his two balls.

During the mass when asked by the priest if is it really a "HAPPY" father's day, he whispered NO to me. I was sad, he explained, our daughter is sick and it isn't a happy father's day to see your only daughter crying all weekends long. He is right.

But i was happy with these photos i captured right in time when the blister gel and medicines have prove to be effective on our daughter's mouth blisters.

See my daughter smiling in spite of her numerous mouth blisters here..

And my semi naked husband with his balls. :)

Dear Husband,

We have been waiting to be parents for sometime before God finally grants our fervent wish. Now that we have Yena, you often say –the best things happen to those who wait. You said you found the best job, best wife (ahem) and the best daughter. But I know BEST refers to contentment you feel with all of the above, so I have to say I found the BEST in you too.

I have known you for so long, you are the sweetest and the scariest when provoked. I have to say I learn to embrace the whole package of you, am loving everything about you all the more each day. What I would like to say is that, I don’t have something to give you on father’s day so I hope you know what this letter means. Hahah

Advance Happy Father’s Day!

I love the father am seeing in you to our daughter.. And congrats you are doing very good! Yena and I love you soooo much!

better late than never

It was June 15, 2008, the first time I celebrated Father’s day among other great fathers. It’s the first so it should be memorable because that day was also the 5th month of our Yena. The family planned for ways on how to celebrate it and so we ended up going to the mall to watch movie. Wifey was looking forward to watch Narnia or Kungfu Panda. It will be the family's first date to a movie house.

Unluckily, even a five-months old will have to pay for the ticket and so we didn’t carry on not because of the ticket prices but for the loud sounds that can affect Yena's hearing. At the mall, we satisfied ourselves by taking pictures of Yena and her so adorable smiles. Her poses were so cute and she projects like a professional baby model. ;)

The celebration would not be complete without the food so I cooked our all time favorite, SOPAS. That day was so special like any other day because we were very happy exchanging jokes, okrayan blues and sharing our funny experiences.

Seems like we're always celebrating something when we are together. I hope to stay this way forever and looking forward for more celebrations to come. I love you so much Leony, my wonderful wife and my lovely daughter Yelena Hayden!

Father's Day out

It's a date. Pinakahihintay kong araw ang Sunday na 'to. Not that the other sundays were not special. I just feel that this sunday is extra special. Kasi it's a double celebration of hubby's first ever Father's Day and Yena's 5th month. ;)

A week before i told hubby na we will go out as a family no matter what. Pagkatapos magsimba, punta kami sa mall then watch movie with Yena. Narnia or Kung Fu Panda would be best. It will be Yena's first trip to the movie house.

Kaso, di pala pwede. Sobrang lakas daw ng sound system sa loob ng sinehan baka mabingi si baby. And of course, di na kami tumuloy. Making the best out of our frustrations, we decided to walk around the mall and eat out na lang.

At dinaan ang lahat sa picture taking..

At ang isang malupit na realization, celebrating with your love ones is not necessarily spending $$$ amounts of money, it's by BEING with each other, to cuddle, laugh together, kissing and hugging, asaran, batukan, bolahan at palitan sa pagkarga sa lumulusog na si Yena..

An open letter to my wonderful wife

If she thinks that I love my little girl very much how much more the big girl who gave her to me? I love her more than words can say.

I am strong and confident because I have her at my side. She is the meaning of my life. She is my ups and downs. My sun and moon. Corny but that's what i'm feeling..

No matter what will happen or what had happened, there is nothing that can stop me from loving her. She is the most beautiful and the sexiest lady I've ever known. For that.. lets get it on my baby! :p

Thank you for that wonderful post below. I'm sure it will really be a happy day because i have you both.. I love you!

Happy Father's Day!

  1. For that super proud daddy that first to hold and behold Yena,
  2. For that brave little man who cried and wasnt able to hold back his tears upon seeing his first born..
  3. For that funny man who would always make Yena laugh no matter how sleepy she was..
  4. For that young man who wishes to be bestfriend to his daughter and dreams of having night outs with her,
  5. For that sugary man who is and always excited to get home after a day of work to be with his little family!
  6. For that very protective father of the house who i am seeing to be very intimidating to future cats that would goof around his beloved chick..
  7. For that childlike man who is Yena's favorite playmate now.
  8. For the man who with the help of the Lord help mom fulfill the realization of her dream to be a mother.. Parang medyo green eto, its the thought that counts! :)
  9. For that husband who calls mommy many names like; Tatsulok, Angat, Ongapsicle, Tingapsicle, Yobab, Buntis and Baby. That last one is the sweetest!
  10. For that daddy who fondly calls Yena; Boyengyeng, Bata, Boyengyengan, Ganda and Pekpekan. Argh, the last one is so very green.

Happy Father's Day!

Tatsulok and Pekpekan love you so much!

To all the Papa, Daddy, Tatay, Ama, Mga haligi ng tahanan especially sa aking Father in Law at sa aking pinakamamahal na tatay.. Happy Father's Day too!
