Everybody Loves Shoes

Shoes, glorious shoes! They are more than vehicles for our feet; shoes define your mood, your activity and your personal style. With so many styles of footwear out there, there is a shoe for every occasion. Most people have a range of shoes; work pairs, casual pairs and “going out” shoes. Then there are sports shoes: sneakers, bowling shoes, cleats, hiking boots and more, it all depends on what you’re into.

Ensuring that your shoes are a good fit and of high quality are essential to enjoying comfortable feet. If you haven’t had your feet fitted professionally before, head down to your nearest shoe store and ask them to do it for you. You never know, you may have been buying shoes half a size too small or big, or maybe your feet are each a slightly different size (not an uncommon trait). Professional sizing won’t cost anything and you don’t have to let on to the store assistant that you don’t plan to make a purchase.

Once you know your exact shoe size, go home, switch on your computer and log on to the Internet. You’ll have so much more choice than the shoe store you visited to get your feet sized. This is especially true if you don’t fall in the “average” shoe size bracket. Anyone with larger or smaller than average feet will know all too well the disappointment of finding your dream pair of shoes… only to be told that the store doesn’t have them in your size. Online footwear retailers stock a much wider range of sizes and styles, so everyone can wear the shoes they love.

Variety is not the only benefit of buying shoes online; saving money is another big reason to log on for your next footwear shopping expedition. Moreover, it’s a lot more comfortable to shop from the comfort of your armchair than trawling the mall.

How Involved in Finances Should Women Be?

It seems like there's a tendency these days for women to bow out of family finances. Even when they work a job, it's normal that men (like it or not) make more money. Not only do they tend to take less time on around the house issues, giving them more time for their career, but they usually bring home a higher paycheck for the same job. This leads a lot of wives who are already taking on the role of housekeeper and mother, to give their spouse control over monthly budgeting. But is that a good idea?

There are several reasons why women, whether they're working full-time or parenting full-time, should stay involved in budgeting matters. One of the first is maintaining independence. We all hope that our marriage will last until the day we die, but the statistics for divorce show that this may not be as certain as we may want. Additionally, accidents happen. Even if your spouse is alive, they may not be healthy enough to continue work. Knowing how to budget correctly gives you the skills you need to survive on your own.

Having a say in the budget also gives an appropriate sense of control, rather than being made to feel as if you have no voice or opinion in this important matter. Whether that's getting your preferred car insurance or setting aside money for a big trip down the line, this sense of ownership can help validate you within the relationship.

Understanding budget concerns can also be a great form of preventative maintenance for marital problems. Remember that the biggest reason for divorce is money issues, so arguments can often be avoided by understanding the entire financial picture; doing so can help you communicate with your spouse about potential problems, making sure the issues never grow into a crisis.

Rainy Day Gimmicks

Rainy days are here again. And that left us no option but to stay indoors. To fight the boredom away, we usually find some recreation by ourselves from whatever it is available at home. Playing tirelessly with Yena is one thing. How we enjoy watching her singing a familiar song on the top of her lungs. Someday soon, I will never be surprised she will be a total performer (a moody one i bet! LOL)

Also, our laptops make us so busy. Imagine how we do our own thing as we face the computer while Yena is checking on her Laplap. Needless to say, I am into blogging. For the past years, I can survive inside the house along with my laptop. It is like talking with my friends in a hologram. So, rain would never be a problem though.

Yobib is always occupied with sports. So, whenever at home, he catches ball games aired on TV. A friend once told me to try online sports betting since husband is a sports wiz. Selections of different ball games are available --- football, basketball, baseball, hockey or soccer. He added that there are a lot of reviews of virtual providers in internet which we can choose from. There are ratings and deposit bonus indicated therein. Well, I keep the thought of sports betting in case we run out of things to do.

Well, rain will be over as soon as we find it out.. We will never have to worry.

Webhosting and Me

I work at the Philippine’s oldest telecommunications company for over four years now. Our company provides telephone lines, internet connection and even web hosting to clients who would need them. Webhosting for this matter of talk is a type of internet hosting service that allows individuals or companies to make their own website accessible online or via the world wide web.

As a blogger who owns 9 blogs (6 of which are domain blogs) I know a little about webhosting and what website hosting to choose since I am using a free host at the moment. Am still searching for the webhosting site that I can finally transfer my domain blogs, but that would take me months to decide. I am waiting for a free web hosting service from my own company, if they can provide me with that I will be forever loyal to them, lol

Seriously, I am already reading some webhosting reviews online, so that when I finally have the funds and the support I will be transferring all my domain blogs with them. I have heard a lot of complaints on some blogger on their blogs being down or inaccessible at times, putting all the blame to their web host and I cannot afford to experience the same thing in the future.

Tips on Budgeting

Budgeting is one of the hard core duties of moms. How difficult it is? Well, try to play on line gambling. Winnings can never be assured --- same with budgeting.

You could hardly tell whether the budget fits or not especially if unexpected expenses arise. To keep yourself from falling short of the budget, have an utmost control to acquire unnecessary things.

Never, never be an impulsive buyer! Also, do be gullible when it comes to discounts and special promos. If the item is uncalled for, then, you do not have to avail of the savings from the discounted price because, in effect, you are paying for the cost of an item that is not useful at the moment.

Long Weekend Drive

It was holiday last friday but we got up early to visit the mall to buy the mattress for my bed project. Yena usually rides the motorbike at the mall so hubs and i decided to bring his nephews so they could bond and enjoy some rides too. We went to the mall in our pambahay outfits and yena in her pajamas :)

And by saturday, i brought two little ladies at the mall, to again ride the motorbikes and do a little shopping. ^_^

Look at their sandals! Little fashionistas ayt?
And sunday, here's me and husband posing after the mass with matching black shirts. His T-shirt says Proud Caviteño while mine says Emotera.

Yena’s Letter to her Lolo

Today is my father’s 71st birthday. Just timing coz today’s theme at Letters That I’ll Never Send is a letter to grandparents. As much as I want to write a love note to my father, I will just do that some other time, today is yena’s moment to shine, and if yena could write her lolo a letter I guess it goes like this...

Dearest Lolo,

I love you. I always pray to Jesus to heal you completely so you can walk with ease and would not use your cane when we go to the market. I pray for your complete healing, for you and lola’s long life and for good customers in your small business. When I grow up I could be your assistant, I promise.

I write to tell you that I love it every time you buy me ice cream, bread and banana. The ice cream is my most favorite in the afternoon. Since you don’t want to see me crying you would give in to whatever I like. I am kinda spoiled by you but just like kuya yael and ate eya, you are the only person we’re scared of (for good reasons or because we’re afraid of your cane hihih).

I asked you what do you like for your birthday but you just shake your head. Mommy said you wished for a vacation to Aklan and Daddy said we will go there by January. I know you are as excited as I am. I hope you enjoy your day and the chocolate cake and Lola’s yummiest pancit. And we will sing videoke! I know you like that! ^_^

Happy Happy Birthday Lolo!

Love love love you much,
Yena

Saturday at The Fort

We went to husband's office last saturday at The Fort. It was a scheduled flu vaccine for me and husband's youngest brother but the latter was so scared of shots we brought the three eager nephews instead. ^_^ The kids were so amazed on how tall the buildings at the fort, they enjoy this breathtaking view at the veranda.

No More Watching Magkaribal

Manuel died last night. He wasn’t able to tell Gelai that he is her real father. He wasn’t able to tell Victoria that Gelai is the sister that she has been looking for. Argh. Why do they have to kill manuel’s character?! Now I don’t like to watch Magkaribal anymore. Sigh.

Nightly since its pilot episode, I made it a daily habit to watch magkaribal with my daughter who learned to like the teleserye just lately. BUT tonight I won’t watch it--- Will try not to watch it. I am still sad since Manuel’s characters passing. Really, I am still sad up to now that I wasn’t able to do all my memes for this Friday.

But if you really know me – you know I will STILL peek on this show tonight. ^_^
