Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

Plagiarism compared to Adultery isn't as big as a SIN. Condemn the action not the sinner. If she may be guilty of such crime, Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

John 8: The Woman Caught in Adultery
Jesus, however, went to the Mount of Olives. At daybreak he appeared again in the temple, and all the people came to him. So he sat down and began to teach them. But the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery. After setting her before them, they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women to death. What do you say?” They said this to test him, so that they might have a charge against him. But Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.

When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Then he bent down again and continued writing on the ground. When they heard this, they went away one by one, beginning with the oldest, and he was left alone with the woman standing there. Then Jesus stood up and said to her, “Dear lady, where are your accusers? Hasn't anyone condemned you?”

She said, “No one, sir.”

Then Jesus said, “I don't condemn you, either. Go home, and from now on do not sin any more.”

We sometimes forget how sinful we are, or we might have judged other people easily, forgetting that sometimes in our lives that same person touched our lives in one way or another. Do we see ourselves at the crowd ready to throw stone at that Woman caught in Adultery in Jesus' times? Let us make the world a better place. Stop mocking others, there is always a reason behind everything. We don't own the world to be deaf of someone's apology.

that's so true. nobody's perfect. everyone's a sinner. people commit mistakes. u might be a victim, sometimes anger clouds ur reasoning but after a while, u'll then realize what the real reason why the person committed it.

sana maayos ang lahat, eventually.

Girl, thanks for this post...we are only human..nagkakamali din tayo...

We Condemn the Action not the Sinner.

We will not tolerate the action but, we will not turn our back on the person. Salamat sa bisita ha.

Hahaha This is quite timely, actually. Nice post.

hey there!
you're right, condemn the action, not the person who did the action. it was the same thing Jesus did, not only to the adulterer woman but to all of us. i just posted an entry that i clearly denounce plagiarism, not the plagiarist. it's the act that i am absolutely against of and for. yes, we are imperfect and while we are still here in this sinful world, we can never be one.

now tell me about it, would it be alright to tell the plagiarist upfront that she did what most in the blogosphere condemn? what if you're the victim, what would you do? and what then is the reason of that someone who is plagiarizing someone's work, not once but more than once? i'm just curios about your thoughts on this matter.

again, i am against the act, not the actor. i just don't understand why fellow bloggers do such action. especially if it's for moneytizing thing. do you?

peace dear! :)

I have to agree with ""rare*jonRez"" (RECEL). Condemn the sin, not the sinner. I myself openly denounced, abhor and loathe Plagiarism and I even made a post to support its cause.

You are right, nobody's perfect. We all are sinners. But to say that plagiarism is less of a crime than adultery is not entirely correct. A sin is a sin. Whatever the reasons for stealing another person's work,it can never be justified by any amount of words. A crime is a crime; a sin is a sin more so if a blog's content is mostly copied not only the monetized posts in question.

I do believe in second chances and of course we aren't GOD not to forgive. But it's only given to those who have sincerely repented. Anyway, it's God who can only say if one is sincere. HE knows our hearts.

You are a great friend to come in another person's defense and for speaking on her behalf. For that, I admire you. But the responsibility belongs to the owner of the blog and for what the blogger publishes. This is actually a point that I have strongly emphasized in my recent post.

Well, this plagiarism thing should make the entire blogging community more cautious. It could happen to you and me and to everyone around us.

Hi there, first timer here in your site. Your entry is so compelling that's why I decided to leave a comment on this one.

Indeed, I agree with your points though I have a zero tolerance with the action. Yet, I still believe in giving a person the benefit of the doubt. Even criminals have the right to be heard, that's why there is a trial in every case before conviction.

But sad to say, there are more people who pretend to be righteous and virtuous.

No wonder, when you posted this entry - they were struck by a thunder straight to the point just like a bull's eye.

Overall, nobody in Jesus' eyes is a sinner. Just spread peace and move on to your daily life. There are more affairs to concentrate rather than directing one's attention on something. I believe blessings will be pouring when you choose to be humble in spirit and manner.

Thanks for this post sis..the deed was an honest mistake..

Maria Sunday, May 31, 2009 6:33:00 PM

Oooops, if kittykat was referring to the person who plagiarized, I'm sorry but in my opinion, it wasn't an honest mistake. Doing it several times and stealing posts from different persons is an honest mistake? I don't think she is that dumb.
