Back to Playing

I am sleep deprived and there’s no one to blame except me. Every night after updating my blogs and instead of blog hopping I busy myself on learning how to play On line casino and when I get tired trying I go back to playing Plants vs zombies. I know am so addicted already but I can’t help it. I need to finish that awesome game as soon as possible to keep me back on track on my blogging duties.

I know I lost some friends already for not being able to visit back, and it’s my entire fault really. I will soon find time to drop by to all the friends I have been missing, promise! I miss them and their sweet comments here, I hope they miss me too somehow.

PBW: Swimming Weekend

We spent the whole weekend mostly on waters. It was a planned getaway to Laguna last friday with the Finance Department of Eastern Communications, and since i cannot endure a night without Yena i brought her with me at work. At 5pm we were off to go to the hot springs, and the little mermaid was soo excited.

While waiting for our car at the lobby of Eastern Communications.

We arrived at Pansol at around 10pm. We had dinner at RSM Calamba so when we got to the place all we had to worry about was the water, lol.

And when Yena saw the pool we started swimming til dawn..

The water was nice, love it coz it's warm. That's Yena saturday morning, back to swimming again..

We got back at home at around lunch. BUT there was no resting time for me, i had to pack our things for another getaway - this time to Ternate Beach for husband's advance birthday celebration.
Shhhhh seee how yena loves that swimsuit.. she can wear that everyday.. and she loves my shades too.. ^_^

See she's so big girl already?!

A post with the birthday boy

We love back pictures, lol. That's us on our 4th time in Ternate beach, it's a tradition already. LOL

So i have a sore body now and i want some more sleep.. It was tiring weekend but it was so fun! How about you? How was your weekend?

Happy Monday! I am putting up a happy face now to start the week right. Last weekend, husband and i got back to jogging and woke up early than our usual weekends. I guess we have to do it every saturday, waking up early means finishing all the house chores early too and i love it. I got more time to do my online stuffs.

Anyways that's husband resting a bit.. He is really serious with his exercises now.. ^_^
And me, resting a lot! Well, my only problem is my tummy and jogging is much easier than sit-ups, hihi
And yesterday, the most important woman in my life turns SWEET SIXTY! That's my mother with her 3 grandchildren. For my mother: wish you good health, long life and happiness.

But wait, I am just a part time blogger. Actually, I work full time as a slave Sr Revenue Acctg Analyst on a Telecommunications Company in Makati. So I can only blog nightly and on weekends (after the choir practice). I have a very talkative 26 months old daughter and a masunget sweetest husband on earth. I guess I have a satisfactory convincing power coz my husband is now blogging to team up with my addiction. Can I plug his blog too? (well, visit him here and here please – thank you very much!)

Anyways, Since I have my handfuls already with my 7 blogs and my work I seldom do my blog hopping I think I am losing some blogging friends because of that. If only my 24 hrs can be stretched to 28hrs a day I can have my blog hops everyday! To my friends, hope you understand.. I will be visible in your blogs soon, promise!

Baby Shower Gift Ideas

Imagine that your wife is pregnant with your second child and you’re planning on throwing her a baby shower because at the first one she received some great gifts like a couple Lovies, a bunch of bibs and even some of those cool trumpette socks, among other things. So you think it would be cool toyou’re your second child the same jump start on necessities that your first child got.

Tubbies, lovies, burp cloths, bibs, blankets and boppy pillows are all things that new babies need to feel comfortable. So are pacifiers and sippy cups. Toys and necessities are great, but everyone seems to give the same thing.

The key is to get creative, fashion baby wash cloths or burp cloths into flowers. Rolling the burp cloth lengthwise, somewhat loosely, will create the look of a rose or flower. Folding the very last corner of the rolled burp cloth end back a little will create a rose petal shape. Making a fold in the middle of the rolled burp cloth makes two flowers. Holding two floral wires against the flowers, floral tape is wrapped around each flower and across the "U" shape of the rolled burp cloth to join the flowers together at the base. This will secure the flowers and floral wire.

Then you can utilize a pair of baby socks to create roses by tightly rolling the socks from the toe. Once you have reached the end of the sock, fold the opening back on itself to create the outer petal of the rosebud. Take care not to cause any damage in this next step, as you insert a piece of floral wire is into the center of the baby sock. Finally, wrap the bottom of the baby sock rosebud with green sticky floral tape to hold the rosebud and wire in place.

Don’t just limit yourself to burp cloths. You can use onesies, baby hats, old t-shirts or almost anything made of cloth. Homemade creations can make wonderful baby shower gifts.

Promil Kid: Mommy Said Video

I shared Yena's video on her blog singing the Promil Kid Commercial before. She got 2 new videos on her blog singing Papuri sa Diyos and Alleluia now - i know, my daughter sings a lot and she talks nonstop like a parrot now.. ^_^

Here's another version of the Promil Kid Commercial and her favorite song of all which we call MOMMY SAID.

video

For the Lyrics:
Mommy said
Don't eat your words
She said
I have a beautiful voice!!

Hope you enjoy the video as much as i do. ^_^ hihih

“How to Prepare for a Day at the Beach with your Young Child”

It is almost summertime and a lot of you are going to be planning a trip to the beach or heading to the pool, after all the beach is a great place to experience those lazy days of summer with the entire family. If you have young children the trip can be challenging if you don’t plan ahead. The following will hopefully help you to be prepared for anything that mother nature throws at you.

Do some research on the beach you are planning to visit, Google is a great way to do this. You will want to know where to park and if you will need a stroller or other carrying device, little legs get tired quickly. This is paramount to the trip because if you have to park far away, you will need to bring everything with you and this will impact what you bring.

So speaking of bringing things to the beach, there are a few things that are pretty important to the comfort of a young child and a comfortable child is a comfortable you.

Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, need I say it more? Don’t forget the sunscreen or you will live to regret it.

Some other things that may help are baby sunglasses, I Iike the ones called baby banz, but there are others that work too. Baby swim diapers and a couple changes of clothes are also very important to bring, unless your child is older and housebroken. If your child is not still in diapers, part of that research you are doing should be on where the nearest bathrooms are.

Another thing to think about might be additional activities that are near the beach, such as a playground. Let's face it, some toddlers have short attention spans and will get bored easy. Keeping your little one entertained and offering them something new to do every now and then will make the day much easier. You may want to bring a beach game with you too.

The main thing is preparation, if you are prepared, you will insure that everyone has a great time on your trip, especially you!

PBW: Easy Weekend with Yena

Since it was holiday last friday, our weekend starts last Thursday. I brought Yena at work for two reasons, first, there was noone to look after her since my mother had a very important matter to attend to and second, i promised to bring her to Acquatica, the newest and freshest attraction at Manila Ocean Park.

I imagined a terrible day with her at work - tantrums and tugging me to go home BUT i was wrong. She was so behaved the whole day she was with me basically because of Laplap. She was watching her CDs while i was working.

Yena and her Laplap ^_^

After Lunch, while watching her Blues Clues she fell asleep..
and slept from 1pm at 4pm! She feels at home at my office, lol

At 7pm, we watched the 30 minutes sniff preview of Acquatica and she had so much FUN!
Japan Pose at Acquatica

Because we were both so dead tired the whole thursday, we spent friday until sunday at HOME! (But got time to visit the mall to pass the time but that's another story, teehee).

It was an easy weekend with my daughter and everything seeems so fine. Click the badge to see other weekenders entries..

Happy Birthday Ganda!

Ganda,

Tell me where to start. ^_^ Am not used to writing to you, it feels so awkward, lol. We have yahoo messenger for all our endless talks but because today is your special day, at least let me try...

First, i'd like to thank you for swimming with the 'lady in red' in Acuatico during night time. I love our vacation not because of the places but because of the company (you, nancy and ghie). I had a great time laughing, swimming, eating and drinking with you. I miss your "rabbit" pose and the albino girl, lol. Second, i'd like to thank you and Nancy for teaching me how to drink margarita in the afternoon, lol. Lastly, i'd like to thank you for being you. For trusting me your 'secrets', matters of the heart and what nots. I found a great friend in you ganda. Hope you don't change - stay as uber sexy and sweet as you are, or yes please, change your surname soon! I can' wait to hear the wedding bells already, lol.

Am looking forward to more vacation, birthdays and chika to come! Love you ganda!

Happy Happy Birthday!

~ 0 ~

Did you just read my letter for Kat? No worries, i would like the world to know how much i love her through that letter. If you know her already or would like to know her, drop by on her blogs below and please greet her a happy birthday for me. Thanks a lot! ^_^

Gaming Diva

With the way my addiction is going on playing games online or offline – I might create another blog (again?!). But am still thinking about it actually, Gaming Diva for a blog title – does it sound nice?

But I won’t be able to stand by the name coz I don’t even know how to play game cards or mahjong or BlackJack or slots or Roulette or Caribbean poker on the Best casino yet. Now I regret not going with my friends on casino when I was still single and got the time to have night outs. My only consolation is that I can learn how to play them now online! Or if you know how, will you teach me how?

Acquatica

Just got home from watching the sniff preview of Acquatica, the newest attraction at Manila Ocean Park. I am so dead tired now. But i can still manage to write here now because i am so thankful - yena and i got home safe and sound. I manage to bring Yena to Makati and then to Manila all by myself. It was hard but i did it. It's hard to commute from Cavite to places kilometers away - much more if you have an active toddler in tow.. Whew.

It was supposed to be a bonding moment with Fedhz and Pehpot but since Peh is sick and Fedhz been MIA (just learned they went to SM, hihih) i got their invites. I invited some friends too but on the last minute they all backed out. Sniff. At 5pm Yena and i were already waiting for a cab, we got a cab after Yena's praying at 615pm. Arrived at Ocean Park at 7pm - after 30 minutes the show ended. Husband who came from work had no choice but to wait for us somewhere - but since my cellphone acted up again, Yena and i had no choice but to go home all by ourselves. It was hard. And i learned my lesson so well - i won't do it again, lol.

So about our Acquatica adventure? Will post pictures and videos soon. Yena had a great time. The show was great and seeing how much she enjoyed it made all the efforts and hardships worth it, hihih.

PBW: Feast of the Risen Christ

Photobucket
I haven't experienced Easter egg hunting in my whole life, i grew up in our place where Easter is celebrated with dancing in the street aka KARAKOL. To where i live we celebrate the Feast of the Risen Christ. For a change, i planned on bringing my daughter to the mall to experience egg hunting but i can't leave the festive mood so we stayed and watch the street dance.

The lady holding the statue of the Risen Christ was our Brgy Chairman. Yearly, my mother, her sister and their cousin would participated in karakol..
Can you guess who's my mother in the picture above? from right to left, the first beauty in green is my mom, the second one our kapitana and the third one my mother's sister. ^_^

Now the dancers on their very colorful costumes..
There are lots of statues of the Risen Christ and the Sto Nino's too. Sadly those who carries the statues were under the influence. :(
It was a great week all in all. How about you? How was your weekend?
