Six Unimportant Things That Make Me Happy

This tag is all about those things that are not really important yet for some reasons, they bring happiness into our everyday lives that spending money for them is not a waste for they make us happy.

Here are the Top 6 of my Unimportant Things list:

1. Shoes - I am not really a shoe person but i love shoes so much. I drool over nice and expensive shoes of celebrities and since i cannot have them, i find content on just looking at them. I got this Mario d Boro shoes last year at Landmark, it was husband's choice. I don't know what's with these shoes but anytime i wear them i seem so happy. Maybe because its elevated. Since i am not really into wearing shoes, i use this only when i have to attend meetings at office.

2. Sandals - I was really happy all day yesterday with this cutey sandals husband gifted me. He invited me for lunch date, we went to Rufino and he bought me this. My husband is not always frugal, thank God! :) I love wearing this because it is very very comfortable. This is my all time favorite sandals going to office now!

3. Laptop - I have a weak spot with anything of lavender or purple color. So when I saw this purple laptop when we were out at the mall one weekend, i coudn't stop myself from capturing it. Since looking at it at my picture folder makes me happy, i think i have to include it to things that make me happy. I have my most loved nancy laptop already given by my gorgeous kumareng umma on my birthday last year, i wont post it her coz it isn't included on the unimportant things category of my life. Nancy laptop and Nancy the person are very very important to me, I cannot afford losing them! :)

4. Perfume - For the first time in my life, i won in a raffle in our Company Christmas party last year and this is my beloved prize! I planned on selling it by auction here at my blog but i changed my mind coz i fell in love with its scent. Now my day would not be complete without wearing this smell.

5. Lotion - I love the aroma of my hands as they were busy doing my days work. I couldn't be thankful enough for friends who gave them to me. The victoria secret is from my officemate Beng, the author of Entertainment Spree and the pink R series from my very good friend Daryl. I love lotion but i don't buy them.. Lucky me i have friends who would donate them to me!

6. Bracelets - if there is one thing i wear when going out aside from my wedding ring, that is my beloved bracelets. I love them dangling at my wrist.. The moment i saw it, i knew they are made specially for me. Thanks God i have a talented friend Ghie who effortlessly created them. Head on to her blog if you want yours personally designed.

Whew. I thought i wont finish enumerating them. Hehehe. Thanks Mommy Dhemz ganda for tagging me, its fun girl! :)

Come join the Punk

I have watched my younger brother blend in with our punk singles neighbors. They are really having fun. I wonder why he was asking me to visit PunkMatch.com, told him I don’t know anyone at that chat room. He laughingly told me he has been making friends with a lot of punks all over the world already and he wants me to meet them too.

He is having the time of his life chatting and meeting different punk personalities. Looks like all his punk single friends will be joining in the fun and start looking for their real punk mate for life! Good thing the site is 100% free to join.

Dinner at Jollibee for Husband's Birthday!

Since i do not know how to cook husband's favorite spaghetti the jollibee style YET. We decided to have his birthday dinner at jollibee and bring Yena for her quick play time.. She seems to adore jollibee so much cause everytime she hears 'jobeee' she is clapping and looking around trying to find the bee :)

Seems like asking mom at the play area; Do i really have to leave my slippers??

They bond while eating spaghetti! They have the same attention to that pasta.. i must learn to cook that in the future!

Yena Still looking around and pointing at every jollibee pictures she sees!

The pouting mother and child! LOL

Told you she adores jollibee, While saying goodbye she can't stop hugging and kissing the smiling bee! :)

Where Single Parent deserves Second Chances

It sure is a hard job being a parent, can you imagine how harder it is for single parents? I have an officemate who raised her daughter all by herself. The father of the child left her for another woman but that did not stop her from giving her child the best of everything. She is working hard for her daughter and sends her to an exclusive all-girls school all by herself. Amazingly, it looks like her past heartaches changed her for the better.

I bet she is looking for another chance in love so I told her about single parent chat rooms. She excitedly sign up and told me how exciting that site really is! She even boasts that it is free to sign up and everybody in the room seems to be so nice. Plus she has been meeting a lot of single parents like her and they can share their views about life. As she narrates to me, parenting issues and finding another partner in life are some of their usual topics. It is such a joy seeing her all the more happy and contented in her life now. I wish she soon found her real partner in life where she can share her joys and sorrows cause every single parent deserves second chance in love and in life!

Am going to Las Vegas!

Not now but I know soon! Am browsing at Las Vegas Show Tickets website and started dreaming on the must see places to go! I know someday soon, I will be there. I have to get ready and plan my itinerary at this early.

First, I’d like to see the infamous neon lights! I heard this is one of the favorites of Las Vegas visitors so for a future visitor I think I have to see this one! There’s a tour available at Las Vegas Show Tickets that makes the neon lights of Las Vegas its main focus plus the cost of Neon Lights Tour tickets include drop off and pick up from many Las Vegas hotels. Very good deal!

Second stop would be at Madame Tussauds Interactive Wax Museum. It has only six other locations throughout the world other than the world famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London so for that one location in Las Vegas, this is a must see in my list!

Third, I enjoyed watching coyote ugly the movie so much, I have to visit the second Coyote Ugly Saloon that was opened in Las Vegas in 2001. This is for the nightlife I have been dreaming to see, girls dancing and living the time of their lives to the fullest!

Last and not the least, I will watch shows for how much my eyes can contain them. A must show to watch in my list would be Bette Midler Show! She’s an award winning television and film actress, an award winning singer with several gold records under her belt, and a Broadway star. In one project she’s serious and introspective and the next she’s brassy and rolling-on-the-floor funny. And I cannot stop myself from humming along her song, Better Days, that is one of my favorite songs of all time!

Who wants to flirt a Millionaire?

Who would have thought someone from my childhood days would enjoy his life to the fullest after marrying his fiancé he only met at MillionaireFlirt.com. I too cannot believe it! He was never this happy and in love as he told us he met the woman he has been waiting for.

He even shared to some of our single childhood friends this sugar momma dating site, where he and his wife are full pledge members before. I am very happy for him and am wishing luck to others, to find their match and their one true love just like him!

How to identify anonymous phone numbers

Getting unknown number in my cell phone leaves me always uncertain. If it has to be of important matter, I would never know who called me until they called me back. Once I thought the anonymous number was from a friend and when I tried calling it again, it was just a fraud caller who made me waste not only my time but also my cell phone load.

We have a fax machine at office that we use for overseas calls. After every monthly bill my office mate would call those unidentified numbers, plus ask them who from the company called them. I pity her because it would take so much of her time and effort calling back those unspecified numbers plus it will be an additional expense for the company. I told her about National Phone Listing and she said getting information from those unidentified callers is so trouble-free now!

Using the website of National Phone Listings is so much easy. Whether the number that has called you is a landline number, business line, or cell phone, you can get information on the owner's name and address of that number just by entering the unidentified number at the website’s search box. It seems really effortless finding all the data you need for that unidentified caller. I will not be surprised why National Phone Listings is the most unswerving source for getting any information about an unknown phone number that has called anyone.

So if you are at lost on who called you with those anonymous numbers, stop guessing! Go to national phone listings website now and know the answer!

What to do with your canned goods?

Husband and i agreed that we will never buy Yena any toy not until she knows how to ask for them. Yena got almost all of her toys as gifts from her godparents and some were from hand-me-downs. And speaking of toys, as much as we wanted to give her everything, we don't want her to get used to it. And so one night, i was surprised with what she did with our canned goods!

I don't know if i will feel pity for her for having to play with that improvised bricks, but i told husband to start looking for play bricks and buy one for her the soonest. It really tore my heart to see her playing happily with this one..

I know i have a happy child but this time i know we have to amend our rule of the house. You will have your bricks sooner my dear Yena! Promise!! :)

I don't deserve it..

Graduated from MySQL Training last night. Top 3.
And i really feel i don't deserve it. But am thankful for the USB flash drive as token! :)

I enjoyed the training so much. The fact that the schedule of training was from 5-8pm made me unhappy at first. Meaning for those training nights, husband and i arrived home 10pm. It has been the most tiring days of my life so far :) (ok, that is exaggerated hihih)

But for the latter part, i felt i lost the interest. Programming language was not my forte after all, so i really wander from my seat! So if there has been an actual exam i know i will fail! hahahah. So for someone who would ask me about that programming language now, i know i can share something worth a cent but not a peso, i hope you get what i mean.

Anyway, i got the top 3 for two reasons. First, i was the third to pass by email our take home exercises (thanks to my officemate who helped me do it, i really think he deserves it more than i) and; second, i completed the 30 hours of training! hahah

Somewhere, Somehow we are together!

My husband can testify my being so overly talkative when I am with friends. Once I was with my friend from college, he noticed that from the moment we met until we bid goodbye, we couldn’t stop from talking. We never run out of things to say, meeting and chatting seems like no stopping at all.

I had a friend from work who is as talkative as me so needless to say we clicked. Our religion never really gets in the way; she used to attend at Latter Day Saints Church while I am catholic since birth. Some of her missionary friends get back to their home abroad that left her a little bit sad. She used to talk to them all the time.

Now, the wonder of technology grants her wish of being with her missionary friends all the time even if they are a million miles away from each other. She is very happy to share to me about LDS chat. Curiosity hits me and gives in; The fact that it is 100% free to register at Latter Days Saints Chat City plus the chance of seeing her and her friends at webcam and the excitement of again talking to her made me sign up. Am so glad I did, am smiling while chatting with her all the time!

Yena on 'Mukhasim' Video

Yena, for the nth time take my breath away with her version of 'mukhasim' (from mukha and asim) or sour face last night. Husband and i had a very heartful laugh, it was her first time to show this trick to us! Thanks to that commercial of Datu Puti vinegar 'mukhasim'.

Will this video of my yena pass for a vinegar commercial??

For the mini script (in english):

Me: Yeng, How do you do the sour face, baby?
Yeng: in action, doing the 'mukhasim' :D
Me: Very good!
Yeng: in action, moving away..
Me: You don't like?

Our Mini House Needs Some Air Conditioning

At first I thought, having a ceiling at home would somehow make it cooler at daytime. But I was totally wrong! It was still very humid most especially now that it is summer time! Plus the fact that we don’t have indoor air quality system, every cooking hours at the kitchen seems like doing some heat parade inside the whole house.

Oh well, forgive me if I seem nagging here but am not. I know am not the only one experiencing the summer heat. But luckier are the people in Atlanta who are experiencing the same problem for they had a choice to call for 24/7 emergency repair service on all brands at the most competitive and upfront pricing at Atlanta HVAC. If it is new installation or recreating a new heating or cooling system any customer can get a FREE estimates from their experienced and up to date trained associates.

For those that require first time installation, Atlanta HVAC has a very professional and experienced team for any heating or cooling installation. Plus the fact that they do not engage in high-pressure, pushy sales tactics makes them more famous in that field of providing their clients with personal attention and high-quality service. It is always a job well done with Atlanta HVAC.

Ok, back to the mini house that need some air conditioning, I say if there is as professional and experienced people just like the Atlanta HVAC here I know I will have an answer to that problem!

My Husband's Slippers and My Very Sweet Daughter

Here is the little story. For many nights now, Yena has a habit of getting husband's slippers and slipping them into his feet.

That seems like an achievement for a proud mommy like me, so i told her to slip it slowly coz i am capturing it.. and she did it slowly.. :)

And the little story will end with a shower of hugs and kisses as a price for a very sweet daughter like her from daddy and mommy! ;)

Home Improvement Ideas

One of the things that excite me most is talking about home. When I was young, my real ambition was to become an interior designer. I am into designing until reality hits me that it was expensive to go to an interior design school. So for a very practical reason I took up accounting.

Oh well, back to the idea on how to doll up our current abode, I think I would start with this pet door I saw at Home Improvement Blog. I cannot stop browsing over at this site on their loads of ideas on how to improve one’s home.

As for me, I am contemplating on this pet door. I have a pet named Vivian when I was still single and she is with my parents. We live near my parent’s house so I am thinking of turning our little front door into a pet door so it will be easy for her to come in and out of our house.

And yes, if you are also planning on improving your home, head on to this site and enjoy their numerous ideas on how to make your home lovelier and cozier!

The Center of Distraction

My officemate Beng, who is the famous author of Entertainment Spree, forwarded this to me. This picture was taken last Christmas 2008. The group behind me are some of the Finance people in our company, i was wondering why are they looking at me!

I was kinda hesitant to post it coz Beng's camera caught me in a very compromising situation, but am glad i did! Am actually laughing at myself now! LOL

How to get rid of annoying phone calls

I have been a victim of annoying and malicious phone calls in the past that leave me furiously angry and helpless. With no other options I would just erase their numbers and wait for the next revolting moment of dealing with them. For worst, I know am not alone, there are a lot of unheard victims who suffer from these callers every day! Seems like a Caller Complaints section will have lots of traffic just by dealing with them in a day.

Its nice to know that there is an answer to this horrible nightmare now! If our anger could not stop them, exposing them is the best way to get even! CallerWiki.net has a system set up to give users the ability to add or edit information about any given number. It has a familiar wiki system in place so user can get and provide information instantly.

Just enter the annoying phone number into the search box provided at CallerWiki.net to start your search. You have to read what other users have posted about that number, edit what has been posted, or add information when none is available. But please try to be specific and post information that is as accurate as possible. If you don't find the information you need, a reverse phone lookup tool is also available to all users.

Local Celebrities Who Own Hermes Birkin Bags

I have posted about Victoria Becham's love of Hermes Birkin Bags in my older post some time ago and am still drooling over those bags, heheh. Here now are some of the local celebrities who share the love of Birkin!

Pictures from here

(I still wonder how Hermes come up with tons of crocodile and ostrich skins, where do they get them? For all of the bags manufactured, collected and are being flaunt by these celebrities! I pity those ostrich and crocodiles, but hey! they are being displayed together with these stars - that must have been their purpose in their lives?! If so, life well served!)

It will always be summer in Hawaii!

There is always something about summer season that I look forward to; the beach, the sun, the waves, the outings and the fun! There are lots of summer destinations here in the Philippines but there is something about Hawaii that I am really thrilled of.

If given a chance to live somewhere abroad, Hawaii, would be number 1 in my list. The fact that it is the only state of the United States that is completely surrounded by water makes me imagine myself dipping into the water for as long as I can! It will always be summer in Hawaii for me. I will not worry about racial discrimination too, for the fact that 14% of Hawaii’s population is Filipino.

Am imagining of winning the lottery already so that when I finally won I will buy a home to this paradise on earth. I am doing my research now at Honolulu Real Estate and I know it might cost a lot. But having a little heaven in Hawaii will be all worth it!

Under a Horrible Spell

I left my ATM card at an ATM machine last night!

I don’t know how it all happened. All I can recall was just upon arriving at the mall I decided to check the balance of my ATM so i head on to the nearest ATM machine. I cannot recall what happened next after I saw the balance. Since I forgot my cellphone at home that morning, I went to the nearest payphone to call hubby but was not able to talked to him i head on to the escalator down and waited for him outside the mall. In my mind was a repeated voice of the savings balance- 1Million! 1Million!. (hahah, now I can laugh about it!)

It was unusual for hubby to check on my wallet but good thing he was looking for something last night. He asked where was my ATM, that instant I knew I lost it. But recalling on what transpired really left me in deep awe. Is my memory really getting this bad? Or is it something of a terrible spell? Teary eyed I called the hotline and blocked the card. I was relieved to know the money was untouched (1Million! LOL).

As a result, I don’t have debit or credit cards in my wallet now. For security sake husband is keeping it all for me.

First Time at Naic Cavite

We spent our sunday at Naic Cavite with my family and relatives this time. My mother's birthday was saturday, happy birthday nanay! :) It was our first time at Naic and we had fun! What we love about that place is the waves, i know we will be back there soon because of that!

My daughter with her red sexy swim wear!

This is the only family picture we had. I was hoping for a group picture, but the group seemed so glued on the water and the wave.. It was hard to capture them all!

I was contemplating of wearing a two piece, but the people might not like it and throw up so i decided to go with one piece! :)

I have a tan face now because i stayed at the water until 1130am! :D It was our second time this summer to hit the beach and am looking forward to going back to Ternate this satuday for husband's birthday! :)

Color My Wall

When I was small, my ultimate dream of a home has a lavender wall. I am happy I am living in my dream now because I have my four walls painted with lavender. My husband did the entire painting job since our home is just enough for the three of us. It is a small home with a space just enough for my daughter to have her little play area.

But since husband wanted to have a bigger space someday, painting the house on his own will not be possible anymore. We are looking for a larger and higher than one story home now and painting will be a bit daunting especially with heights involved. So painting the future house will involve hiring a professional painter. I need to know I am getting a qualified painter for the job. Anyone can paint but to do the job right takes a certain degree of talent and I don’t like to hire anyone that claims to be a painter until i check him out first.

Painting job is not a problem anymore when I learned about Des Moines Painting. They do the paint job well and they offer a wide selection of paint colors and high quality paints. By hiring a qualified Des Moines painter i can make sure the job will be well done as they provide their customers with a great satisfaction! I guess i will be one of those happy customers!
